LOIS BARTLETT

LOIS BARTLETT, beloved wife of the late Dick Bartlett, of Lethbridge, passed away in Lethbridge on Thursday, April 2, 2009, at the age of 80 years. She is survived by her family, Bob (Sheryl) Bartlett of Lethbridge, AB, Sherry (Larry) Ohlmann of Harrison Hot Springs, BC, Ethel (Greg) Lewicki of Calgary, AB, and Bill Bartlett of Lethbridge, AB, six grandchildren; Rick (Maureen) Scott, Scott (Carla) Bartlett, Rob (Sonya) Ohlmann, Christy (Mark) Aday, Jessica (Dan) Barnes and Nicole Lewicki and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Harry (Margaret) Osecki, sisters in-law, Joan Osecki and Pat Bartlett and nieces Barbara Douglas and Wendy Teske. She was predeceased by husband Dick Bartlett and brother Bill Osecki. Lois was born to Abbie and Theo Osecki in 1929. She graduated from LCI in 1946, and then attended the Galt Hospital School of Nursing, from which she graduated in 1949, becoming a Registered Nurse. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the U of A in 1963. She married Dick Bartlett in 1962. Together, they loved their family and enjoyed travel, watching hockey games and sharing in their children and grandchildren’s many activities. Lois’s numerous accomplishments include: being the Associate Director of Nursing at the Lethbridge Municipal Hospital, teaching at the Galt School of Nursing, and serving as an elected member of the board of the Lethbridge Regional Hospital. Lois was also very involved with First United Church and its Daycare Centre. Lois will be dearly missed. A Celebration of Life will be held at FIRST UNITED CHURCH, 502 - 13th Street North, Lethbridge, AB, on Monday, April 6, 2009, at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Elizabeth Brown officiating.
