GLENDA LORRAINE LODERMEIER, of Lethbridge, passed away at home surrounded by family on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at the age of 69 years.

GLENDA LORRAINE LODERMEIER, of Lethbridge, passed away at home surrounded by family on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at the age of 69 years.

Glenda is survived by her daughters: Brandi (Jason) Bobee and Shannon (Terry) Anderson; and three grandchildren that she adored: Mackenzie Bobee, Taylor Bobee and Steele Anderson.  Glenda is also survived by her two sisters: Judy (Loran) McVittie and Lorinda (Ron) Dykshoorn; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Glenda was born in Lethbridge on July 23, 1954.  Glenda lived most of her life in Alberta, with brief stints in Ontario and Montana.  Glenda married the love of her life, Keith on May 11, 1974 and they enjoyed 49 years of love, laughter and adventure.

Glenda was always very involved in her community, doing everything from leading Girl Guides for many years and judging 4H speaking competitions, to making snacks for her church's kids summer camp and generally helping out wherever needed.  She also enjoyed being part of bible study groups and ladies lunch groups.

Glenda was the BIGGEST fan of her grandchildren.  She attended every sporting event, school play, graduation, and birthday party that she possibly could.  She was always their biggest fan and cheerleader…even if she couldn't be there in person.  She was so proud of her three grandchildren, and she told everyone about them as often as she could.

Glenda was light and love to anyone who came across her path.  She had a smile for everyone, and she loved everyone unconditionally.  She was known for her amazing hugs, and her famous chocolate chip cookies.  You never left her house without a hug and a care package of food to take home and enjoy.

Glenda spent more than a month in the cardiac ICU in Calgary.  In lieu of flowers, we ask that you consider making a donation to our GoFundMe page, where we are collecting funds to replace the furniture in the family room of the cardiac ICU.  The family room became a very important space for our family while Glenda was there, a place that allowed us to rest and to be together during a very stressful time.  The furniture in the family room is used by so many families and it is completely worn out.  https://gofund.me/9ffca512

A Celebration of Glenda's Life will be held at VIA CHURCH, 2820 - 18 Avenue North, Lethbridge, AB, on Friday, September 29, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. Glenda would not have wanted this to be a sad, somber occasion, so please feel free to dress in bright, cheerful colours; purple and cranberry were her favourite!
