With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our father GERALD JOSEPH LODERMEIER, of Lethbridge, Alberta, on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at the age of 72 years.

Gerald is lovingly remembered by his children; Bruce, Wanda (Mike) Heaphy and Tracy (Dave) Romanchuk as well as his beloved grandchildren; Jordan, Matthew, Tyler and Samantha. He is also survived by three brothers; Dave, Keith (Glenda) and Philip (Diane) and sister Leona (Terry) Collins.

He is predeceased by his father Joseph, mother Vivian, loving wife Marilyn and sister-in-law Joan.

Gerald loved watching all sports, but he particularly loved hockey. His favorite NHL team was the Edmonton Oilers. He also enjoyed playing bingo with family and friends. For those of you who had the honor of knowing our father, his generosity, loyalty and selflessness are but a few of his captured traits. A special thank you to the staff at St. Michael's Health Centre for the care and compassion they showed our Dad during his time there.

A Graveside Service will be held at MOUNTAIN VIEW CEMETERY, on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 12:00 P.M. Following the Graveside Service, relatives and friends are invited to a reception at Cornerstone Funeral Home, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB. from 12:30 to 2:30 P.M.

I so enjoyed taking care of your Dad. I met him 3yrs ago when I moved to the west side of St Michael's to the east side. He always had a smile when I joked around with him esp. about Hockey. Up until about 3 months ago he even said a few words. . I will miss the gentle squeeze of hand has his response to a question.. Oh and by the way he loved that pumpkin pie you brought in. . He was a sweet gentle soul and I know he will be missed by many. God be with you at this time of grieving. Sincerely Gaya Mamula--HCA , St Michael`s.
