Lloyd Striped Wolf of Standoff passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at his home on the Blood Reserve. He leaves to cherish his memory are his daughter Chanelle (Donald) Harvey, granddaughter Leileena Harvey, his brothers, Louis, Marvin, Nick Striped Wolf and Leon; Sisters, Ester Dewaters of Missoula, Montana, Sheryle Alcorn Striped Wolf and April; uncles: Beattie (late Ruby) Gros Ventre Boy, David (Evelyn) Striped Wolf, Ervin Calling Last of the USA, Oliver (Frankie) Scout, Glen (Bernice) Yellow Feet, Kevin, Andy, Clevin, Chris (Suzie) Strangling Wolf, Irvin; aunts, Mary First Rider, Mary Louise (Norbert) Fox, Mae (Pete Knife) Tallow, Teresa (Ken) Scout, Beatrice (Gilbert) Big Sorrel Horse, Gloria (Jack) Red Crow, Elizabeth Big Head and Iris Knife and special friend Tanya ‘Cindy’ Wolf Plume. He was predeceased by his parents Julia (Scout) & Harold Striped Wolf; grandparents: Jenny and Nick Striped Wolf, Step-grandmother Cecile, George & Ivy (Scout) Spear Chief; brother Harold, sisters, Judy and Caroline; uncles, Meldon John & George Striped Wolf, Warner Scout, David & Wayne Yellow Feet, Eric & Gerald Cold Weather, Dwayne; aunts, Ruby, Mary (Arthur) White Quills, Minnie (Chester) Thompson of Spokane. Lloyd was also related to Many Chief, First Rider, Black Water, Eagle Bear, Mistaken Chief, Shouting, White Man Left, Aberdeen, Holy Singer, Beebe & Wadsworth, Wolf Plume, Turning Robe, Chris & Susan Strangling Wolf, Grier, North Peigan, Harrison, Bird Rattler, Andy Stump, Kevin, Clement Striped Wolf, Writes at the Door families. Lloyd was a very special friend to all of the people on the Blood Reserve. A Family Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB on Monday, March 23, 2009 at 4:00 P.M. A Wake Service will be held at WHITE CALF CHAPEL, Standoff, AB, on Monday, March 23, 2009 at 6:00 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be held at ST. MARY’S IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH, Blood Reserve, on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Pawell Andrasz Celebrant. Interment to follow at the Blood Band Cemetery.
