It is with immeasurable sadness that the family of Helen Wieland announces her passing on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at the age of 81 years. Helen was born in Coaldale on February 8, 1930. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Martin and son Edward; brothers’ Frank, Les, Julius, and John Lengyel; and sister Elizabeth (Alex) Kish. Helen is survived by her loving children, Leslie (Laurie) Wieland of Iron Springs, Brian (Brenda) of Lethbridge, Gloria Wieland of Vancouver, and Debbie (Brent) Dustin of Port McNeill, BC.

MRS. IDA WIENS, of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Elmer Wiens, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Sunday, December 26, 2010 at the age of 87 years. Ida is survived by her brothers David (Jeannette) of Medicine Hat and Reinard (Hilda) Kohls of Surrey, B.C. sister Freeda Cosenza of Lafayette, California, brother-in-law Harry Wiens of Penticton, B.C., sister-in-law Alice Spreeman of Olds, AB as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
