MR. HUGO WEIPPERT, beloved husband of Mrs. Anne Weippert of Lethbridge, passed away at the St. Michael’s Palliative Care Unit after a valiant effort for life on Wednesday, June 15, 2010 at the age of 68 years. Hugo was predeceased by his Father Jakob, brother Daniel, mother Emma and several nieces and nephews. Hugo is survived by his wife Anne, married on July 2, 1966, Sons Lee (Leah) of Lethbridge and Neal.

BEN WEISS, of Lethbridge, passed away at the St. Michael's Health Centre on Monday, December 5, 2016 at the age of 78 years. Arrangements will be announced once completed.

MR. HINDRIK “HENRY” WEISTRA, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Trijntje “Trudy” Weistra, of Lethbridge, passed away at the St. Michael’s Centre, Palliative Care on Thursday, April 13, 2011 at the age of 84 years. He is the loving father of Harry (Linda) of Edmonton, Ed (Vilma) of Barons, Corry (Jesse) Kurtz of Lethbridge, and Rob (Cindi) of Lethbridge. He is the grandfather of seven grandchildren; Lee (Julie Ann) Gladden of Barons, Jennifer Weistra (Rob Johnson) of Lethbridge, Sarah (Mike) Dowsley of Lethbridge, Josh (Chelsey) Kurtz of Coaldale, Megan Weistra of Edmonton, Kayla Weistra of Lethbridge and Benjamin Weistra of Lethbridge.

Brooklyn Wells, beloved son of Mr. Allen Wells Jr. and Mrs. Tamara Tail Feathers of Stand Off, was taken by the Lord before his time on Thursday, March 4, 2010. BOBBI-RAE “DOLLY” WELLS “ISSOMOOTSTA”, passed away at the Peter Lougheed Hospital surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at the age of 38 years. She is the loving mother of Dallion, Cherokee (Ramsey), Easton, Skylar, Aiden, and Kash, two precious granddaughters Natalie and Tiana. She is survived by grandmother Rosie Day Rider, brothers; Rudy, Casey (Carolyn), Vincent (Kelli), Sheldon (Will), Shane (Janey), Tex (Marlie) Pilling, Jay Pilling, Brent Provost, sister Darolyne (Sid), adopted mom Rebecca, adopted siblings Tyler and Shay Mistaken Chief, Kor, Jo, Mitch, Taryan Creighton, step father Roy Pilling, step mother Jesse Creighton, aunties and uncles; Martha (Winston), Leonard (Dorothy), Johnny (Agnes), Rose (Pat), Andy (Pat), Doreen (Jeff), Ronnie (Cynthia) Scout, Pete (Evelyn), Theresa M.

EUGENE WELTERLICH, of Lethbridge, beloved husband of the late Inge Welterlich, passed away peacefully at the St. Michael's Health Centre on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at the age of 87 years. Born September 15, 1929 in Eigenfeld, Ukraine, Eugene immigrated to Canada in 1951, where he spent a year working on a farm in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. He moved to Lethbridge in 1952, where he met the love of his life, Inge, and the two were married in 1954.

LYDIA ELFRIEDA WELZEL passed away on March 9, 2017. Lydia was born in Germany on May 20, 1927 and was the oldest of eight children. On March 22, 1952 Lydia married Bernfried Welzel and in the fall of 1955, they moved to Coaldale with their young daughter. Their twins, a son and daughter, followed later that year. In 1967, the family moved to Lethbridge. Lydia enjoyed gardening, playing board and dice games, but reading was her greatest passion.

WENDELL ALEXANDER JONES, beloved husband of the late Ethel Jones passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, April 03, 2009 at the age of 93 years. Wendell was the loving father of Gary (Laine) Jones of Calgary AB and Wendy (Ross) Charlesworth of High River AB. He was a devoted grandfather to Sarah and Michael Jones, Joel Charlesworth and Jamie (Derek) Chamberlain, and a caring great grandfather to Jasmine Charlesworth and Eddie Chamberlain.

MARGARET ROCHELLE WENK, of Lethbridge, passed away at St. Michael's Health Centre - Palliative Care Unit on Thursday, November 10th, 2016 at the age of 69 years. Funeral arrangements will be announced once completed.

LEONARD A. WENSMAN, beloved husband of Margaret Wensman of Milk River, AB., passed away peacefully on Monday, June 29, 2015 at the age of 86 years. Besides his loving wife Margaret, Leonard is survived by his children: Gary (Jeanette) Wensman of Labrador City, NFLD, Keith (Carol) Wensman of Milk River, AB, Corinne (Dan) Anderson of Langdon, AB, Maxine (Lindsay) Vickers of Calgary, AB, and Rhonda (Mike) de Visser of Nanton, AB.
