VERLA LEONA MARTHA SCHMIDT, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, May 12, 2008 at the age of 78 years. She is survived by 6 children and 11 grandchildren; Lorry of Edmonton, Sherri Lawlor (Ryan, Karlee, Evan, Tessa) of Edmonton, Tim (Brady, Billie) of Calgary, Cindy Hansen (Gregg, Jordan, Tyler, Carter) of Magrath, Bonnie Grossklaus (James, Jaimee, Kelsey) of Calgary and Greg of Penticton, 3 siblings; Cliff of Moose Jaw, Cal of Vancouver and Leuana of Edmonton as well as numerous family members from Bill’s side of the family.

It is with great sadness we announce that VERNA JEANE WADDELL passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 surrounded by family at the Hythe Continuing Care Center at the age of 81 years. Jeane will be remembered and missed by her daughters Wendy (Brendan) Harty of Milk River, AB, Dawn (Rene) Parsons of Fruitvale, BC, Dixie (Moe) Husereau of Wembley, AB, Son-in-law Jim Neil of Longview, AB. MRS. VERNA M. BROWN, beloved wife of Mr. Andrew G. Brown of Coaldale, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the age of 91. Besides her loving husband of 70 years, Verna is survived by her children, Darl (Margaret) Brown, and Marilyn (Andy) Zwaagstra. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Carin (Richard) Plischke, Heather (Dave) Talen, Glen Brown, Sheri (Peter) Gilbert, and great-grandchildren, Ryanne & Caden Gilbert.

VERNA MAE DAY RIDER, of Lethbridge, AB passed away suddenly on Monday, December 8, 2008 at the age of 56 years. VERNA MADGE, beloved wife of Frank Madge, of Milk River passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital, on Saturday, September 26, 2009 at the age of 92 years. Besides her loving husband, she is survived by her children: Larry (Chris) Madge of Milk River, Judy Madge of Calgary, and Marion (O’Brien Tarnasky) Madge of Elkwater. VERNON BAKER beloved husband of Audrey Baker of Lethbridge, passed away at the St. Michael’s Palliative Care Center in Lethbridge, AB, on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at the age of 86 years. Besides his loving wife, Vernon is survived by two children Don (Gwen) Baker of Coaldale and Carol Little of Lethbridge; three grandchildren, Michelle Vanden Berghe of Edmonton, Scott Anonson of Edmonton and Robbie (Darrell) Moore of Lethbridge; three great grandchildren, Sorcha De Heer, Myckenzie and Cassidy Vanden Berghe.

VERNON ARDEN GAUNTLY beloved husband of the late Betty Gauntly of Lethbridge, passed away at home on Monday, March 10, 2008 at the age of 74 years. He is survived by his sisters; Esther Goerzen of Calgary, Evelyn (Irvine) Pickering of Lethbridge, Eleanor Stephenson of Lethbridge and Shirley Fander of Lacombe, brothers Gordon, Robert (Alice), Leroy (Judy) of Lethbridge and Clarence (Diana) of Strath Roy, Ontario, nephews Ray (Michelle) Pickering and two great nephews Kyle and Kristopher Pickering who lived with Vernon for 17 years.
