It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of MADELINE LOUISE THOMPSON of Fort Macleod (formerly of Nanaimo, B.C.), on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the age of 68 years. Madeline is survived by her daughters; Shelley (Laurence) Pawlick and their children; Jordan, Tyler, Keiley (fianc?e Preston Burnett) all of Thorsby, Alberta, Tammy (Brian) Beech and Tammy’s daughters Rhylee and Karleigh Chow of Lethbridge, AB and Danielle (Rob) Stone and Danielle’s son Kodi Drewniak and their daughter Makenzie Stone of Ardrossen, Alberta.

ANTONETTE “NETTIE” DORTHEA THOMSEN passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 16th, 2010 at the age of 89 years. Nettie was predeceased by her husband Morten of Lethbridge; mother, Dorthea and father Anton, 4 sisters and 1 brother, all of Denmark. She is survived by three sons, Tom (Marion) of Whitehorse, Yukon, Erik (Charlene) of Lethbridge and Bent (Valerie) of High River; 7 grandchildren, Michael, Randall, Daniel (Tammy), Jason Arnold, Kimberley (Rob) Laidlaw, Santina Miller and Shantel; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters in Denmark and 1 brother in Canada.

ALICE MARY THOMSON, wife of the late James Arnott Thomson, passed away in Lethbridge on Friday, November 9, 2012 at the age 88 years Mary is survived by three sons and one daughter: Arnott (Gail) Thomson of Calgary, Mary Jean (Brent) Russell of Calgary, Robert Bryce Thomson of Salmon Arm, BC and Alexander Robert Thomson (Jackie French) of Lethbridge; three grandchildren; Kelsey Jean Russell, James Todd Russell and Jeffery Brent Russell and one step-grandchild, Christopher Collins.

ROBERT “BOB” THOMSON, beloved husband of Gay Thomson of Coaldale, passed away at St. Michael’s Palliative Care Centre in Lethbridge on Sunday, April 8th, 2012 at the age of 82 years. BERRY passed away on Monday, April 30, 2012 at the age of 52 years, after a courageous struggle with cancer. At his request there will be no service. Instead his family and friends gathered with him to celebrate his final birthday on April 11th. In his final days he was surrounded by the many people who loved him and will miss his smile and sense of humor. Berry will be greatly missed by his special friends Gary Klein and Maureen Hepher.

It is with great sadness that we mourn the sudden passing of JAY BYRON THURLOW on Monday, December 21, 2015 in Claresholm, AB. Left to mourn Jay are his daughter Maryann (Rob) Shopa, four grandchildren, Erykah, Sydney, MacKenzie and Carlos, brothers Richard, William, Keith, and Sidney and sisters Neola, Shirley, Barb, and Donna. Jay was predeceased by his daughter Jaycee Dawn Thurlow, his sister Carol Sawa and both parents, Sidney and Donna Thurlow.

TIMOTHY DUNCAN SYMES, beloved husband of Lena Symes, and family are sad to announce his passing at St. Michaels Care Centre in Lethbridge on Friday, April 12, 2013 at the age of 50 years. Tim was predeceased by his father Alan Symes in 1994. He is survived by his wife Lena, daughters Pam Hein (Josh) and Kathryn Hein, grandson William, mother Edna Symes and sister Debbie Symes all of Lethbridge. He is also survived by his niece Melissa Symes, two great nieces Ryley and Austyn of Fort McMurray.

TINA DEGROOT (nee Kingma), dearly loved mother, oma, great-grandmother and friend, went to be with her heavenly Father on January 6, 2008. Tina lived 83 grace-filled years, in the hope and power of the resurrected Christ. Her dear husband Peter died in November 1997. Mom (Oma) leaves a rich legacy of love and Christian commitment. We, her children, Klaaske and Neil deKoning, Rudy and Greta deGroot, Dennis and Jenny deGroot, Ann and John deGelder, Theo and Marie-Anne deGroot, Carol and Arnold Kaemingh, Peter and Rudy deGroot, twenty-nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, will live with the memories of a life well-lived, infused with gentleness, optimism and selfless giving.

TINE (TRYNTJE) KOLK (DONKERSGOED) beloved wife of the late Herman Kolk of Lethbridge, Alberta passed away with great peace and dignity on November 2, 2013 at the beautiful age of 82 years. Tine was a lady of ’true grit’ and quiet faith and lived her life to the fullest. She was born in Holland and immigrated with her family to Canada in 1948. Tine was not a stranger to loss and sisters Janny (Steve), Gerry (Hank) and brother Bert (Dina) left this world before Tine.
