TERESA TERNES, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 29th, 2017 at the age of 59 years. Teresa, thoughtful, loving, kind and caring. She always had a smile on her face and had a joke or two to tell that would follow. Teresa was dearly loved by her nephew and nieces: Ryan, Amanda & Sarah; sister Chyrel (Gary) Cannady and numerous relatives. She was predeceased by her parents, Max and Rose as well as numerous relatives.

EVERETT "EV" TREMPNER, beloved husband of Constance "Connie" Trempner, of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Monday, January 23rd, 2017 at the age of 84 years. Besides his wife Connie, he is lovingly remembered by his four children; Kerry (Wayne) Brandt of Sherwood Park, AB and their children, Ashley (Jaimie) Poirier (Finley and Walker), and Shaun (Nicole) Brandt (Arlo and Etta); Corry (Dale) Belsher of Olds, AB and their children, Kailey, Cody, Troy and Cassidy; Darren (Dana Eliason) Trempner of Lethbridge, AB and his children, Madison and Zachary; Ryan (Sandra) Trempner of Lethbridge, AB and their children, Riley and Sydney; as well as his brother, Marvin (Maryann) Trempner.

Our Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, MRS. ANNE TRATCH, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 15, 2016. She would have been 97 years young on December 20th. Anne was predeceased by her parents, Dmytro (Metronius) and Dora (Anastazia) Uhryn, her husband Walter (D. 11.07.90) her brothers John (Martha), Michael (Muriel) , Morris (Marie) , and William (Mildred). She is survived by: one brother Alex (Veronica) and two sisters, Jennifer Uhryn and Olga (Bill) Michalenko and sister-in-law Marie Uhryn ; six children: Ken (Kathy), Ron (Carol), Larry, Sharon (Leo) VandenHeuvel, Jim (Pat), and Diane Tratch as well as 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

JULIA TONHAUSER, beloved wife of the late John Tonhauser, of Calgary, passed away at the St. Michael's Health Centre - Palliative Care Unit, on Monday, November 7th, 2016 at the age of 94 years. Julia is survived by her children Christine (Richard) Plastow and Anthony (Marie Hibbard) Tonhauser. She is also survived by her four grandchildren Rosemary (Dana Barratt) Plastow, Amber Tonhauser, Ryan Tonhauser and Geoffrey (Grace) Plastow. Julia was also blessed with a great-grandchild, Veronica Barratt.

GAIL PATRICIA TOMSIC, beloved wife of the late George Tomsic, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital surrounded by her family on July 16, 2016 at the age of 73 years. She is the loving mother of Debby (Joey) Savidant of Lethbridge and grandmother of Ryan Shigehiro (Michael Rhiness) of Calgary and Amanda Shigehiro of Calgary. She is also survived by five brothers, Ron (Carly) Hunt of Ottawa, ON.

GORDON A. "PUDGE" THIELEN, beloved husband of Maryetta Thielen passed away two weeks short of his 85th birthday, and 25 days before their 62nd anniversary, at the Chinook Regional Hospital on June 10th 2016. Pudge was born June 24th 1931 in Lethbridge, Alberta to George Thielen and Kate Allers. Pudge grew up on the farm and took an interest in welding and mechanical work. He also dug numerous dugouts for fellow farmers.

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our brother and son, GREG TOMPKINS, who passed away peacefully with his family by his side. Greg started his career at the U of L as a research assistant in Physics in 1984. In 1986, he was hired as a technician for the Department of Physics and Astronomy and promoted to technical specialist in 1996. Working with Dr. David Naylor and the Astronomical Instrumentation Group (AIG), Greg provided technical support for electronic instrument control and data acquisition.

Besides his loving wife Tillie, Matt is survived by his daughters Roz (Bryan) Kranzler of Lethbridge and Debbie (Ken) Sommerfelt of Winnipeg, daughters-in-law Bernice Thomas of Calgary and Gwen Thomas of Taber, grandchildren: Bryce (Casey) Thomas, Brent Thomas, Krystal (Tim) Kranzler-Bochan, Kevin Kranzler, Michael Sommerfelt, Jennifer (Chris) Norton, Jacquelyn Sommerfelt and Sean (Erin) Sommerfelt, great-grandchildren: Logan, Faith and Dylan Thomas, Nicholas, Theoren, Maddison and Olivia Bochan, Eric, Haley and Toren Norton, and Logan and Wesley Sommerfelt.

Following a shockingly brief battle with cancer, RICHARD "RICK" ICHIRO TANAKA passed away peacefully in the company of family on Monday, January 18, 2016 at the age of 66 years. Richard lived in Lethbridge for most of his life and worked for the roofing department of Charlton & Hill for 40 years. After retiring, he kept busy with his roof inspection business as well as his many interests: trips to Vegas with the guys, time spent with his coffee crews, golfing, charitable work or following his love of racing and soccer.

Besides his beloved wife Zita, Frank will be lovingly remembered by his children whom he loved dearly; Chad (Andrea) Tinordi, Kelly (Clint) Shambrook, Brad Tinordi (Kyler Jullyan) of Calgary, Lezli (Mark) Zimmerman of Calgary and Sheila (Dean) Weger; his cherished grandchildren, Daniel Tinordi, Cody Weger, Brett Shambrook, Kyle and Hunter Weger and great-grandchild Mavrik.
