MRS. ROSE LILY ALLIETTER SMITH of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at the age of 94 years. Rose is survived by her three sons Richard, Robert and Raymond and grandson Nathan. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, 4 sisters and 2 brothers. Rose was born in Bognor, Great Britain on September 26, 1915 to Alfred and Mary Neve.

ARTHUR (SMOKEY) PIERSON, beloved husband of Bertha Mary Pierson, of Lethbridge, Alberta, married 56 years, passed away suddenly at the Chinook Regional Hospital, with his family by his side, on Monday, September 29, 2008 at the age of 78 years. Besides his loving wife, Bertha, Smokey is survived by one sister, Doreen Sherman of Nanaimo, B.C.; Smokey’s two daughters Brenda Mary Pierson (Douglas Beer) and Cheryl Lee Pierson; daughter-in-law Karen Pierson; his grandchildren Breanalee MJ Beer, Kristoffer Maxton Beer, Crystal Lynn (Justin) Smith and their child and great granddaughter Brelyn Leah; Aaron Arthur Pierson (Leanne Smith); and Christine Pierson; Smokey’s 97 year old mother-in-law Josephine Lerohl; sister-in-law Frances (Roy) Kinsey, all of Lethbridge, Alberta, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

LESLIE MICHAEL SMOLNICKY passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday June 22, 2012 at the age of 53 years. Leslie is survived by his mother Julia Smolnicky, his sisters Rita (Stan) Wiersema and Elizabeth (Brett) Davis, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his father Leslie Nick Smolnicky. Leslie had a love for life and people. He touched us all and our time with him was marvelous.

MRS. MABEL GEORGINA SNOPEK, beloved wife of the late Martin Snopek, passed away at the Edith Cavell Care Centre in Lethbridge on Saturday, July 24th, 2010 at the age of 90 years. Mabel was born to Aubrey and Mabel Bryant on October 19, 1919 in Fernie, B.C. She lived and worked on her father’s farm in B.C. until 1941 when she moved to Lethbridge, AB. In 1942 she met Martin Snopek of Lethbridge.

MR. ALLEN ALEXANDER SOKOWNIN passed away suddenly at home on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at the age of 63 years. He is survived by his mother Dagmar Sokownin of Lethbridge, sister Maria Eons of Lethbridge, nephew Dennis (Jackie) Sokownin of Pincher Creek and 3 nieces; Karla Edvardson, Crystal Edvardson and Nally Falkus of Oliver, BC. Allen is also survived by his aunt Ilse Stanton of Virginia, Springfield. He was predeceased by his father Anatol and baby sister Eva Louise.

ALLENE K. SOLOMON of Lethbridge, formerly of Independence, Missouri, passed away at the Good Samaritan, Park Meadows Village, on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at the age of 91 and after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She is lovingly remembered by her children, Paul Solomon of Yuma, AZ, Richard (Donna) Solomon of Iowa, Stephen (Avan) Solomon of Odessa, MO, Thomas (Connie) Solomon of Kansas City, MO, and Kathi Solomon-Duda of Lethbridge as well as 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

SOUCIE GUY SOUCIE passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital, with his family at his side, on Friday, March 18, 2011. Guy is survived by his wife of 48 years, Gloria Williams; children, Lee (Gloria) of Picture butte, Charlotte (Ray Walker) of Lethbridge; his brother, Lionel (Madelaine) of Grand Falls, N.B., sister, Germaine Johnson of Hartford, Conn., as well as many nieces and nephews. He also leaves to mourn his passing 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

LEO JOSEPH SOUCIE, of Fort Nelson, BC, beloved husband of Shannon Soucie (nee Dolan) passed away tragically in a boating accident on the Liard River in northern BC, on Monday, May 2, 2016 at the age of 64 years. Along with his wife Shannon, he is lovingly remembered by his 3 children and their families; Alaina (Ryan DeGrazio and their children Simone and Carys) of North Vancouver, BC, Laurisa (Colin Cripps and their children, Cale and Kenna) of Grande Prairie, AB, and Devin (Cathleen Soucie and their children, Teah, Liam and Eric) of Fort Nelson.

MARY (DOROTHY) SPADY, went to be with her Lord April 21, 2011 at the age of 98. Dorothy was born in Harriston, Ontario on October 4, 1912 where she resided until 1947. She then came by train to a little place called Wetaskwin where she met the love of her life Louis who she married on May 1, 1948. Her first love was to serve Jesus at this little orphanage in Wetaskwin and after marrying Louis they went into full time ministry with Canadian Sunday School Missions for 7 years.

Anna is survived by son Martin (Sam) Spiegelberg and granddaughter Mackinley, sisters Mary (Gordon) Wilson and Eva Preikschas, brother Fred (Verna) Preikschas, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband Horst Spiegelberg, parents Georg and Mary Preikschas, sister Edith (Preikschas) Lesch, brothers Henry, Jacob, Georg and Martin Preikschas.
