RONNIE JAMES SLOVAK, of Taber, passed away suddenly at home on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at the age of 56 years. He is survived by his father Joe Slovak of Wrentham, brother Danny (Cheryl) Slovak of Wrentham, nephews Christopher Slovak of Lethbridge and Declan Slovak of Wrentham, niece Chantel Slovak (Jesse) and their family of Lethbridge, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, a foster son and his best friend Scott McLean of Taber.

THOMAS JOHN SLYWKA, of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Alida Slywka of almost 54 years of marriage, passed away at the St. Therese Villa, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, November 12th, 2016 at the age of 89 years, two weeks short of his 90th birthday. Besides being a devoted husband, he is also a beloved dad, grandpa, pa, great-grandpa, uncle and friend. He is the loving dad of Mary Lou (Terry) Miechkota, Tom (Diane) Slywka, John (Trish) Slywka and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

ALDENA “DENA” SMITH beloved wife of Edward J. Smith of Lethbridge, passed away at home on January 29, 2010 at the age of 83. Besides her loving husband, she is survived by: her sister Bonnie Mulholland (Grand Forks), her sister Fran and husband Delvin Andrews (Lethbridge), her sisters in law Louise Anderson and Loretta LaValley (Lethbridge). There are also numerous nieces and nephews. She is the loving mother of Cheryl Smith (Saskatoon) and Linda Baron (Coaldale) and her husband James.

ANNA CECILIA SMITH entered eternal life March 17, 2016 in Lethbridge, Alberta. She is survived by her brother Jack Aulie (Helen); sisters Rose Neumann (Arnold); Esther Lambert; and Sister Anna Aulie; as well as numerous nieces and nephews . She was predeceased by her parents William and Annie Aulie, her sisters Marion Lipsey; Marshall (Pat, Ed); Stella Kennedy (Victor); Jean McNaughton (Dennis); and in-laws Becky Aulie and Bill Lambert. Anna was an exceptional typist in Regina, Portland and later in Lethbridge.

SMITH, beloved father of Cheryl Smith and Linda (James) Baron and grandfather to Kaitlyn, Charlize and Aimee Baron, passed away quietly in his sleep at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the age of 91 years. He is survived by the above and numerous nieces and nephews. He now joins his loving wife Dena, their parents and all his siblings in the afterlife. His sister in law Fran Andrews still resides in long term care in Lethbridge.

Rose is survived by her three sons Richard, Robert and Raymond and grandson Nathan. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, 4 sisters and 2 brothers. Rose was born in Bognor, Great Britain on September 26, 1915 to Alfred and Mary Neve.

ARTHUR (SMOKEY) PIERSON, beloved husband of Bertha Mary Pierson, of Lethbridge, Alberta, married 56 years, passed away suddenly at the Chinook Regional Hospital, with his family by his side, on Monday, September 29, 2008 at the age of 78 years. Besides his loving wife, Bertha, Smokey is survived by one sister, Doreen Sherman of Nanaimo, B.C.; Smokey’s two daughters Brenda Mary Pierson (Douglas Beer) and Cheryl Lee Pierson; daughter-in-law Karen Pierson; his grandchildren Breanalee MJ Beer, Kristoffer Maxton Beer, Crystal Lynn (Justin) Smith and their child and great granddaughter Brelyn Leah; Aaron Arthur Pierson (Leanne Smith); and Christine Pierson; Smokey’s 97 year old mother-in-law Josephine Lerohl; sister-in-law Frances (Roy) Kinsey, all of Lethbridge, Alberta, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
