SHARON EAGLE CHILD (nee Williams)

SHARON EAGLE CHILD (nee Williams)

‘Sometimes in the evening I sit, looking out into the Belly Buttes. The sun sets and the dusk steal over the ridges. In the shadow I see again our Sundance Circle Camp, with smoke curling upward from the painted teepees and the villagers enjoying their surroundings, in the distance I hear the old songs and yells of our famous warriors and the laughter of little children of old. I was born upon the prairie where the wind blew free and there was nothing to break the light of the sun.
