ETHEL SUTO, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away at Legacy Lodge, on Friday, December 8, 2017 at the age of 91 years. Left to mourn is daughter Margaret Gruss, two granddaughters Angela (Wade) Bodnar and Rosie (Sean) Schneider, and five great-grandchildren James and Gerrid Bodnar, Aiden, Kiya and Kieran Schneider. She was predeceased by parents James and Susan Suto, brother Imre Suto (Hungary), and son-in-law Adolf Gruss. Upon Ethel's request, no formal funeral service will be held.

MABEL CHARLOTTE STEEN (nee KIRBY) January 3, 1924- November 25, 2017 93 years well lived! Mabel was born in Edmonton, the eldest of 2 daughters, to Clif and Marion Kirby. She had a wonderful childhood with loving parents. She learned from her parents at a young age to be a good person and lived each day extolling this virtue to the many people she met. Mabel was predeceased by her parents, her sister Jean and her husband Lee.

MR. FRANK H. SERA, loving husband and father, of Lethbridge, passed away at the St. Michael's Health Centre on Friday, November 3, 2017 at the age of 82 years. He will be dearly missed by his children: Carmen (Wayne) Trockstad, Kevin (Carole) Sera, Randy Sera, Leigh-Ann Sera, Beverly (Wayne) Johnson, Sandi (Todd) Williamson, Pat (Kerry) Grzech, Brenda (Mike) Bateman, Mike (Lucille) Penner and Polly (Chris) Andrews. Also left to cherish his memory is his brother Zoltan (Ann) Sera, 23 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

MICHAEL JOSEPH SKRUKWA, of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Monday, November 13, 2017 at the age of 64 years. Michael is the loving father of Joseph Daniel (Beth) Skrukwa. He is also survived by his sisters Maureen (Terry) Royer and Betty (Bob) Krausher as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father Joseph Skrukwa and his mother Mary Skrukwa. Michael was a lover of music his entire life.

JOHN "JACK" SHENDRUK, beloved husband of Joyce Shendruk, of Coaldale, passed away at the Coaldale Health Centre on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the age of 89 years. Besides his loving wife Joyce, John is survived by his children Pat (Jackie), Tim, and Terry (Cathy); grandchildren Tyler (Amanda), Brandon, Jonathan, Cassy and Anden. The Final Strikeout It is with heavy hearts that the family of MERVIN SHANKLAND announce his peaceful passing, surrounded by his family at the St. Michael's Health Centre, Palliative Care Unit on Monday, August 21, 2017 at the age of 79 years. Mervin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to so many. Mervin is survived by his beloved wife Gerri, sons Kevin (Jennien) and Kurt, grandchildren Nicolas (Anna) and Taylyn (Brandy), brother Harvey (Ruth), sister Eunice and his extended family, the McQueens of Saskatchewan.

FRANK SOKALSKI of Lethbridge, beloved husband of the late Janina Sokalski, passed away at the St. Therese Villa, on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at the age of 86 years. He is lovingly remembered by his children and their families; John (Beata), Tamara and Tiffany; Tony (Jola) and Thomas; and Diane (Tony), Nicole (Geoff) and Jessica. Along with his wife, Frank was predeceased by his infant son. Frank was a dedicated and loyal employee of the City of Lethbridge, Waterworks Department, for 20 years.

CURTIS SCHWEITZER, of Lethbridge, beloved husband of Darka Schweitzer, passed away at home on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the age of 59 years. Besides his loving wife, Darka, Curtis is survived by his loving children Ryan, Adam and Jade (Nick Reach). Curtis is also survived by his granddaughter Ainsley and grandsons Jaxx and Jagger. Curtis was born in Lethbridge, Alberta in 1958 to Beth and Cleason Schweitzer. Curtis was a mason by trade, and in 1983 he was presented with the Golden Trowel Award.

MR. MELVIN "MEL" ALLEN STOVEL, loving husband to Mary-Claire Stovel, passed away peacefully in the Chinook Regional Hospital after a brave battle against cancer, on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at the age of 69 years. Besides his loving wife, Mary-Claire, Mel is survived by his family; Terry Whitehead and Marla-Jane Whitehead; four siblings Murray (Pam) Stovel, Rina (Ron) Motycka, Ivan (Darlene) Stovel, Steve Stovel, numerous nieces and nephews, and loving friends in Canada and the United States.

The family of WILLIAM "BILL" CHARLES SCOTT is saddened to announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at the age of 76. Left to mourn is his wife of 54 years, Carol; children Shelley (Bill) and Chris; and grandchildren Erica, David and Curtis.
