HENDRIKA “RIA” OOMS (nee Schuurman), beloved wife of John Ooms, of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Monday, May 23, 2011, at the age of 82 years. She is the loving mother of John (Bernice) Ooms of Edmonton, AB, Richard (Deb) Ooms of Lethbridge, AB, and Joanne (Peter) Walls of Lacombe, AB., and grandmother to 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, two brothers, and many nieces and nephews.

GERRITJE “GERRIE” OOSTLANDER, beloved wife of the late Mr. Adrianus “Adrian” Oostlander of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, April 23, 2010 at the age of 84 years. Gerrie was born Gerritje Zwoferink in Rijssen, Holland, one of six children, 5 girls and one boy. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years Adrian (Adrianus) in November 2008.

LEONARD "LEN" WILLIAM ORMANDY of Lethbridge, passed away at home on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at the age of 66 years. He is lovingly remembered by his daughter Charlene Ormandy (Roger Reimer) and her children, Brady, Bailee and Levi Ormandy and his spouse of 40 years, Pauline. Len is also survived by his mother, Gertrude Ormandy, his brothers and sister, Bill (Brenda) Ormandy, Katie (Dennis) Goshinmon and Jim (Sheila) Patterson, many nieces and nephews as well as his very good friend, Wayne Josf.

MR. ROBERT “BOB” ORSER, beloved husband of Mrs. Joyce Orser, of Lethbridge, passed away suddenly at the St. Michael’s Palliative Care on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at the age of 79 years. He is survived by a loving family. Bob was employed at Canada Post for many years. He loved to fish and camp with his family. Bob absolutely loved bingo. He will be sadly missed by his family. At Bob’s request no formal funeral will be held.

OSAKA, MARY SUMIKO

MARY OSAKA, beloved wife of the late Itchitaro Osaka, of Lethbridge passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Sunday, May 1, 2011, at the age of 93 years. Mary was born February 3, 1918 in Surrey, B.C., she was the daughter of Otogoro and Utano. Mary married Itchitaro Osaka in 1938, together they evacuated to Raymond, AB in June 1942. She worked on the Allen Keebler farm until 1966 when she started work at the Kobai and Mercantile.
