Obituary: M

Our beloved husband, father, brother, and grandpa DONALD ROSS MEYER went to meet his Lord and Saviour peacefully after a courageous struggle with kidney disease on January 7, 2014 at the age of 71 years. He leaves behind Marcella, his beloved wife of 49 years, his sons Marlin (Marilyn), children Katarina, Rose, Cody, Leslie, Tanishia, Aaron, Cher, grandchildren Lucas and Brittnie, Kevin (Carleen) children Nathaniel and Josie, and Leighton (Nancy) children Rebecca, Kristin, Allyson, and Hannah.

MICHAEL “MICKEY” EARL BROOKS, beloved husband of Patricia Mary, passed away after a short illness, at the age of 81 years. He is survived by his children Michelle, Valerie (Junji) Kuno, Bruce, Tom (Colleen) and “adopted” son Ron Farrell, as well as 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Mickey was predeceased by eight brothers and sisters, his son Bill, and his great-grandson Jacob Anthony. Mickey’s mom died soon after he was born and his older sister Grace and her husband John O’Hara and family took Dad in and raised him as one of their children on their farm near Writing-On-Stone Park.

MR. MICHAEL ALDOFF SR. beloved husband of Mrs. Marlene Aldoff of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at the age of 78 years. Mike was born in Wayne, AB. On June 16, 1931 and later moved to Coleman where he spent his early youth. At age 15 he travelled north to work in Dawson City, Yukon and began working on a gold dredge , he was also the camp cook.

MICHAEL “MICKEY” NOEL ANDERSON, beloved husband of Judi Anderson of Raymond, AB passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, January 11th, 2014 at the age of 72. He is survived by his wife Judi; sons Darren (Roxanne), Jason (Heidi) and Chris; daughter Lori (Kim); brothers Wayne (Rita) and Gerald; grandchildren Mike, Jeff, Justin, Nikko and Hayden. A Celebration of Life will be held at THE ROYAL CANADIAN LEGION, 324 Mayor Magrath Dr.

MICHAEL (Mikey) BIG SWALLOW, of Standoff, Alberta, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 30, 2008 at the age of 22 years. Michael is survived by his parents Eric and Monica Plaited Hair of Standoff, Alberta, and Melvin Yellow Old Women of Siksika, Alberta. His siblings, Melvina (Johnny) Big Swallow, Donald (Pamela) Big Swallow, Dale Marie, Tiffany, Bradford, Bradley (Michelle) Big Swallow, Brodie Big Swallow, Robbie Plaited Hair, Scottie (Brooks) Plaited Hair, Memphis (Racine) Gros Ventie Boy, Dana (Bradley) Gros Ventie Boy.

MR. MICHAEL CHENGER, beloved husband of Mrs. Ivy Chenger, passed away at the St. Michael’s Health Centre on Thursday, August 16, 2007 at the age of 89 years. Mike was born to Leslie Chenger and Ann Sorok of Hungary. Mike farmed in the Lethbridge area all of his life. He was an avid gardener and loved to go fishing when time permitted. One of the greatest joys in his life was his love of animals, especially his dogs and his cat Rudy.

MICHAEL G. HOFER, beloved husband of Suzanna Hofer of the Delco Colony, New Dayton, passed away at home on Friday, March 28, 2008 at the age of 52 years. A Funeral Service will be held at the DELCO COLONY, New Dayton on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at 11:45 A.M. Interment to follow at the Delco Colony Cemetery.

MICHAEL HORVATH of Lethbridge, passed away at the St. Michael’s Heath Centre on Monday, November 16, 2009 at the age of 80 years. Funeral arrangements to be announced when completed.

STEPHEN HRABIC, beloved husband of Dorothy Hrabic, of Lethbridge, passed away at the Park Meadows Village on his 64th wedding anniversary, Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at the age of 88 years. He is the loving father of Judy (Murray) Craig of Sherwood Park, Alberta and Lorna Rusling (Ed) of Lethbridge, Alberta. Michael is survived by his wife Dorothy, his daughters Judy and Lorna; his 3 grandchildren Travis (Debbie); Jennifer (Steve) and Alissa (Evan); and numerous nieces and nephews.

MR. MICHAEL ‘MIKE’ JOHN KUZ, husband of Mrs. Stella Kuz, passed away at the Good Samaritans Society, Park Meadows Village on Friday, December 14, 2007 at the age of 76 years. Besides his wife Stella, Mike is survived by his son Randy (Virginia) Kuz, grandson Austin and grandchildren Ryan and Daniel Waslovich. Mike is also survived by his sister Lorraine Buckinx, brother Bill Kuz, sister-in-law Marie Kuz, brother Tony (Lil) Kuz as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
