BEATRICE MAXINE NAY, beloved wife of the late Elliot Nay, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Monday, April 14, 2008 at the age of 97 years. She is survived by her children George (Kay) Nay of Cardston, Dale (Lois) Nay of Jefferson and Marlene (Alex) Ivanco of Lethbridge, sisters Ethel Anderson and Edith Miller as well as 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents William and Anna Katherine Wood, 4 brothers and 2 sisters.

MAY THERESA KOLESAR (NEE LEISHMAN) of Lethbridge passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, in the early morning hours of December 7, 2009. May is survived by her beloved children Dianne, Darlene and David, along with her three special grandchildren Justin, Jared and Samantha. May was born October 27, 1938 in Lethbridge and is the daughter of Thomas and Helen Leishman. She was raised in Lethbridge and has fond memories of playing with neighborhood friends many of whom she is still friends with over sixty years later.

MILDRED “MILLIE” MAYBERRY died peacefully, Sunday, July 18, 2010, surrounded by her family. Born Mildred Joyce Shaw March 15, 1933 in Thessalon, ON, the seventh of eight children. Following High School in Burlingon, she graduated from Queen’s University and taught school in New Liskeard, ON. Millie married Bill in 1954 and moved to Calgary where she did social work. In subsequent moves, she was either a teacher or a social worker and always a social activist; working for peace, good government and justice for all.

SUSAN ELIZABETH “LIZ” MAZAR nee SAUER passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at the Lethbridge Extendicare at the age of 57 years after a lengthy illness. Besides her loving mother Anna, Elizabeth is survived by her sons Jason and Chris, loving partner Curtis, sister Sharon (Roy) Haines, brother Rick, nephew Greg, niece Carrie and step-son Jeffrey. She was predeceased by an infant son and her father John Sauer. Although she struggled with many upsets in her life she always remained positive.

M.S. BILL McBETH, age 82, died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 in Lethbridge, Alberta. He was born to Victor and Frieda Siler McBeth in Ord, Nebraska on March 3, 1929. After living in Spalding, Nebraska for 11 years, he moved to Twin Falls, Idaho with his family and graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1946. In 1950, he was inducted into the Army during the Korean War and upon his Honorary Discharge in 1952, he moved to Canada where he became a resident, but retained his U.

MCCALLUM, MARY KATHLEEN (KAY) Kay McCallum passed away at the age of 91 on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at the Chinook Regional Hospital, Lethbridge. Kay, the second of three daughters of George and Lillian Kiddle, was born in Brandon, Manitoba on March 27, 1921. The family lived near Pelly, Saskatchewan before moving to Alberta and finally settling in Calgary. In 1941 Kay became the first woman in Alberta to sign up in the Canadian Women's Army Corps.

We are very sad to announce the sudden passing of JOHN ELSDEN McCARTNEY. He lost his battle with pneumonia at the age of 67 years at the Chinook Regional Hospitalon Sunday, February 21st, 2016. Originally from Vernon, BC area, John was an aspiring rodeo champion until he suffered injuries too great to continue. As John recovered he became more involved with the games of pool & snooker. In fact the pool hall became John's life and home.

MELVIN HUGH MCCAUGHERTY, son of Gertrude Glori (nee Sandham) and William Hugh McCaugherty, passed away August 4 in St. Michael’s Palliative Care Unit. Mel was born in the Galt Hospital on December 14, 1930, and in 1940 moved with his parents and brother Wesley to live on the D-O Ranch west of Lethbridge, where his grandfather Tom McCaugherty settled in the 1880’s. He attended the University of Alberta in Calgary in 1949 where he met Betty Adeline Domoney and they eloped in 1954.

DOUGLAS (DOUG) EDWIN MCCLOCKLIN January 29, 1929 ~ May 7, 2010 Doug, beloved husband of the late Doreen, passed away peacefully in Lethbridge with his daughter Cherri by his side. He will be sadly missed by his children; Doug (Karen), Janey (Nils) and Cherri; grandchildren Lanny (Stephanie), Tim, Sarah, Samantha, Kylie (Marc) and Brad (Raquel); great-grandchildren; Isabel, Mikayla and Tyrn. He is also survived by his brother Tom, brother in law Larry (Rosemary) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
