SIM October 21, 1934 - January 7, 2013 MARGARET ELLEN SIM, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at St Michael’s Palliative Care Centre on Monday, January 7, 2013 at the age of 78 years. Margaret Ellen was born to Peggy and Hjalmer Nylund in Calgary, Alberta on October 21, 1934. She married Donald Kenneth Sim on August 6, 1954. (Don predeceased Margaret on October 6, 1990). Margaret fought a strong fight with her battle with cancer.

MARGIT RACH of Coaldale, beloved wife and forever sweetheart and Sonnschein, of 60 years, to Stan, passed away peacefully with family at her side, on December 26, 2013 at the age of 80. Margit was born in Pilisborosjeno (Weindorf) Hungary, on October 2, 1933. Margit and family immigrated to Canada in 1956. Margit was a hard working woman who helped everyone and enjoyed spending time with family. She worked so hard, was an exceptional mother, selfless, sacrificed and denied herself so much for her children and her husband.

With accepting yet heavy hearts, we acknowledge the peaceful passing of a dear mom, sister, grandma, aunt and friend, MARGUERITE ALICE LENGYEL, on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at the Edith Cavell Care Centre. Marguerite fought a long and difficult battle with numerous setbacks, but remained determined to regain her vigour and her independence. She was filled with strength of mind and a feisty spirit that carried her through many difficult times.

BISHOFF MRS. MARGUERITE “PEGGY” BISHOFF, beloved wife of Mr. George Bishoff, of Lethbridge, AB., passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital, on Monday, December 17th, 2012 at the age of 73 years. Peggy is survived by her sons, Mark (Brenda) Bishoff; Guy (Joyce) Bishoff and their children, Kendra, Mitchell, Cole; Tim (Christine) Bishoff and their children Tanya, Fraser, Garrett Campbell; her daughter Jackie (Norm) Allen and their children Spencer & Madison; two sisters, Carol Visotto, Sharon (Robert) Hewitt; one brother, Doug (Marsha) Montgomery; as well as numerous nieces & nephews.

Our beloved MARGUERITE “MICKEY” ELIZABETH MOORE of Carmangay, AB., passed away at the Little Bow Continuing Care Centre on Sunday, January 10, 2010 at the age of 97 years. A Funeral Service in celebration of Mickey’s life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB. on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Aldeen McKay officiating. Interment to follow the reception at Archmount Cemetery, Lethbridge.

Maria Girardi, beloved wife of the late Severino Girardi, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on February 26, 2009 at 86 years of age. She leaves to mourn her loving sons Ivano of Edmonton and Elio (Myrna) of Lethbridge, and grandchildren Arryl, Samantha and David. She is also survived by her brother Giorgio (Ines) Sartorel, her sister Lucia Verardo, and sister-in-law Gina Sartorel all of Italy, and her sister-in-law Santina Sartorel of Cranbrook, B.

MARIA PANKRATZ (November 23, 1917 - January 14, 2010), went to be with her Lord and Saviour at the age of 92. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Regier and Elfrieda (Peter) Reimer, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mom was born in Russia and came to Canada in 1950. She settled in Coaldale and resided here until her passing. Friends are welcome to attend a visitation on Monday, January 18th from 8 to 9 pm at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 - Mayor Magrath Drive S.

MARIA SURY, beloved wife of the late Louis Sury of Lethbridge, passed away at the Fort Macleod Hospital on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at the age of 89 years. She is survived by her children Maria Ratkai of Lethbridge and Ernest (Cathy) Sury of Bolton, Ontario and 5 grandchildren; Christine Ratkai, Michelle Ratkai, Tony Ratkai, Charlene (Paolo) Saccon and Rosemary Sury. She was predeceased by her mother Ann Kronchnable and her husband Louis Sury.

MARIA SZABO, beloved wife of Peter Szabo Sr. of Lethbridge, passed away with her family by her side, at the Legacy Lodge in Lethbridge on Tuesday, March 19th, 2013 at the age of 84 years. She is the loving mother to Peter (Christina) and a very proud grandmother of Madeline, Gabriella, Elizabeth and John. Maria was predeceased by her parents Janos and Roszalia Hanusi, brother Joseph Hanusi and sister Anne Barcu.

MARIA VERA SMETANA (Polesenska), beloved wife of Stan Smetana of Lethbridge, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014 at the age of 76 years. She is also lovingly remembered by her daughter Monika Smetana and grandson Tristan Smetana, her sister Hilda Svecova and numerous nieces and nephews. Maria was predeceased by her parents Johana and Jan, her brother Jan and sisters Olga and Elena. Maria Vera Polesenska was born on January 22, 1938 in Vrbove, Slovakia to parents Jan Polesensky and Johana Hanicova.
