MARGARET JOSEPHINE METCALFE was born in Lethbridge, Alberta, to Mary and Joseph Chervinski. She was predeceased by her husband, Allan J. Metcalfe in 1995. Marg will be sadly missed by her four daughters: Donna (Bill), Corrine (Doug), Bernice (Tim), and Aileen (Wes); her eight grandchildren: Rob (Tam), Suzi, Scott (Holly), Jeff (Nicole), Jud (Becky), Tina (Tim), Jennifer (Andrew) and Evan (Kathy), as well as nine great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and two sisters.

MARGARET KEMPENAAR

MARGARET KEMPENAAR, beloved wife of the late Robert (Reinder) Kempenaar, passed away at the St. Michael’s Health Care Center Sunday, May 4, 2008 at the age of 92 years. Margaret was born Maaike Vander Heide in Friesland, the Netherlands on February 15, 1916 where she was raised and educated. She was the fourth child and first daughter in a family of 10. She married Robert on May 23, 1936 and had five children.

MRS. MARGARET CAROLINE MEIDINGER (nee Cowan), died peacefully, Tuesday, March 25th, at the Calgary Foothills Medical Centre after a brief and sudden illness. She was born October 28, 1922, in Hanna, Alberta, to parents, Harry and Lena, and resided on the family ranch in the Handhills until 1941. Her sense of adventure led her to seek varied employment in Calgary, Toronto and Cranbrook. An avid sports fan and golfer, it was there at the Cranbrook Golf Course that she met her future husband Edwin when he was on holidays.

MARGARET K. NEUFELD beloved wife of the late Jacob K. Neufeld passed away at the St. Michaels Health Center on Saturday April 4, 2009 at the age of 82 years. She is survived by her children; Mirium (Francis) Torscher of Raymond, Jacqueline Wallin of Calgary and Randy (Linda) Neufeld of Lethbridge; eight grandchildren; Tom (Gena) Kotke of Lethbridge, Darren (Debbie) Kotke of Raymond, Ramona (Tom) Gapp of St. Albert, Jerri (Owen) Peters of Lethbridge, Wade Forster of Calgary, Angie (Scott) Imler of Calgary, Amanda and Joshua Neufeld both of Lethbridge; eight great grandchildren: Adam Forster, Kennedy Imler, Matthew Imler, Zachary Kotke, Mikayla Kotke, Keana Kotke, Noah Gapp and Sarah Gapp; six brothers and two sisters and their respective families.

MARGARET HELEN ROAN, passed away at Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge, AB on August 31st, 2012 at the age of 86 years . Margaret will truly be missed by her children Jerry (Jayne) Roan, Darlene Roan (Les Adams), Marlene (Garry) Williams, Merlin Roan and Roger Roan, along with her grandchildren; Jesse Roan, Jenny Roan (Carl Dangas), Nicole (Chad) Ferguson, Michanne Eichendorf, Laurie (Bruce) Southworth, Birdie (Dianne &Terry) Neudorf, and great grandchildren; Brandon, Breanna, Kassidy, Chelsea, Ava, Eric, Justin and Cassandra and numerous nieces and nephews.

SIM October 21, 1934 - January 7, 2013 MARGARET ELLEN SIM, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at St Michael’s Palliative Care Centre on Monday, January 7, 2013 at the age of 78 years. Margaret Ellen was born to Peggy and Hjalmer Nylund in Calgary, Alberta on October 21, 1934. She married Donald Kenneth Sim on August 6, 1954. (Don predeceased Margaret on October 6, 1990). Margaret fought a strong fight with her battle with cancer.

MARGIT RACH of Coaldale, beloved wife and forever sweetheart and Sonnschein, of 60 years, to Stan, passed away peacefully with family at her side, on December 26, 2013 at the age of 80. Margit was born in Pilisborosjeno (Weindorf) Hungary, on October 2, 1933. Margit and family immigrated to Canada in 1956. Margit was a hard working woman who helped everyone and enjoyed spending time with family. She worked so hard, was an exceptional mother, selfless, sacrificed and denied herself so much for her children and her husband.

With accepting yet heavy hearts, we acknowledge the peaceful passing of a dear mom, sister, grandma, aunt and friend, MARGUERITE ALICE LENGYEL, on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at the Edith Cavell Care Centre. Marguerite fought a long and difficult battle with numerous setbacks, but remained determined to regain her vigour and her independence. She was filled with strength of mind and a feisty spirit that carried her through many difficult times.

Peggy is survived by her sons, Mark (Brenda) Bishoff; Guy (Joyce) Bishoff and their children, Kendra, Mitchell, Cole; Tim (Christine) Bishoff and their children Tanya, Fraser, Garrett Campbell; her daughter Jackie (Norm) Allen and their children Spencer & Madison; two sisters, Carol Visotto, Sharon (Robert) Hewitt; one brother, Doug (Marsha) Montgomery; as well as numerous nieces & nephews.

A Funeral Service in celebration of Mickey’s life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB. on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Aldeen McKay officiating. Interment to follow the reception at Archmount Cemetery, Lethbridge.
