James "Jim" Rydl

JAMES "JIM" RYDL beloved husband of Joanne Rydl of Lethbridge passed away at St. Therese on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at the age of 79 years. James Rydl was born October 24th, 1934 to Anna and Vincent Rydl in Hradec Kr?lov?, Czechoslovakia. Jim led a graceful life in a tumultuous world. He survived diphtheria as a child, World War II and the consequential Russian invasion of his home country. James then became a refugee in Austria before immigrating to Canada with his mother, father and his brother Paul Rydl in 1951.

MRS. JANICE VANDER HEYDEN, of Lethbridge, AB, passed away at home suddenly on Wednesday, May 28th, 2014 at the age of 52 years. She is survived by her three children Bradley Vander Heyden, Teri Vander Heyden, and Nicole (Brad) Slomp. She was predeceased by both her parents, Kay and Bill Nummi and her oldest brother Richard. Jan was born and raised in Lethbridge, Alberta. She graduated from LCI in 1978 where she excelled in academics, music and badminton.

JAMES ALLAN BRAU (Big Jim), 52 of Lethbridge, Alberta passed away on May 23, 2014, surrounded by his family and friends. Jim was born in Lethbridge, November 2, 1961. He resided in Shaughnessy and attended Picture Butte High School. After receiving his Journeymen Bricklayer's Certificate in Calgary, he worked as a bricklayer for 9 years. Jim was then part of the D.A Electric team for 15 years. Jim's pursuit of his family's love of horses led to the rise of JC Performance Horses.

John B. Thiessen beloved husband of Elizabeth Thiessen of Lethbridge AB, went home to be with his Lord on May 7, 2014. John was born March 19, 1926 in Borden, Sask. His family moved to a farm on Sunnyside Road. After he married, John worked in Lethbridge for Purity Dairy (horse and buggy days). They took over from John's mother and were in the dairy business for 18 years, selling out in 1969.

Sadly, we announce the passing of our Father, John Joseph Grey, on Saturday, March 29, 2014. John was the first child of Frances and William Grey and born in Kursk, Russia on January 14, 1916. After leaving his early childhood home in Kelme, Lithuania, the family emigrated to Canada in 1926, to join maternal grandparents Elizabeth and Charles Latuk in Stirling, Alberta. He married Donna June Walberg in 1939 and settled in Lethbridge with their four children.

Jennie is survived by her, son Cameron (Bruce), and daughters Pamela (Bryan), Judy Guzzi (Duane) and Grandchildren, Marissa, and Nikolaos. She is survived by sisters Joyce (Jack), Dolly, Norma, Mildred, brother Bud (Marilyn) and numerous nieces and nephews. Jennie was predeceased by her Mother and Father, Alma and Oscar Monson, her son Dean Brown, and sisters Blanche, Marion, Lena, and brother Donald.

JOHN FRITZ BRUNNER, beloved husband of Lydia Brunner of Lethbridge, passed away at St. Michael's Palliative Care Centre on Thursday, March 20th, 2014 at the age of 86 years. Besides his loving wife, he is survived by his children, Linda (Murray) Dueck of Lethbridge, Dave (Mona) Brunner of Redcliff, Nancy (Shannon) Dawson of Lethbridge; grandchildren: Natasha (Jason), Byron, Matt, Sara, Shane, Mitch; two great-grandchildren Kingston & Paxton. He is also survived by two sisters, Anne (Chuck) Wesselman & Rose (Ora) Sommerfeldt; five sisters-in-law, three brothers-in-law as well as numerous nieces & nephews.
