RUTH IDA ANTONETTE JOHNSON, beloved wife of Lee Johnson, of Lethbridge, passed away in Legacy Lodge on Monday, August 18th, 2014 at the age of 91 years. She is the loving mother of: Sharon (Martin) Alcock of Calgary, Marion (Jim) Rasmussen of Bowden and Heather (Robert) Skakum of Lethbridge. Grandmother of Carla (Jason) Giebelhaus of Edmonton, Cristy (Cory) Whalen of Maclennan, Lindsey Skakum of Edmonton and Michelle Skakum of Lethbridge and great grandmother of Sarah & Bennett Whalen and Jack Giebelhaus.

IRENE MARTINA CUTFORTH, of Lethbridge, Alberta, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the age of 96 years. A Memorial Service will be held at THE KINGDOM HALL OF JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES, 5 Rocky Mountain Blvd West, Lethbridge on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 1:30 P.M. with Mr. Terry Whitlock officiating.

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at St. Michael’s Palliative Care Centre, following a courageous battle with cancer. Ida is survived by her son Edward (Janet) Feldman of Iroquois, Ontario, and their children, Joanne, Geoff and Christine; daughter, Judy Page of Coaldale, Alberta, and her four children, Douglas, Maria, Theresa and Emily; Debbie (Brian) Burritt of Calgary, Alberta, and their three children, Jennifer, Michelle and Kimberly; and Larry Feldman (Kang Chu), of Waterloo, Ontario; sisters Katherine and Lily; as well as great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

MRS. ZOFIA ILNICKI, beloved wife of the late Mr. Walter Ilnicki, passed away peacefully with her family at her side at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Sunday, December 19, 2010 at the age of 87 years. Left to mourn her beautiful life are her sisters Stanislawa Gdowska and Krystyna Kasperski, brother Tadeusz Uwazny, sister-in-law Mary Uwazny as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Zofia was predeceased by her brother Alex Uwazny.

It is with sadness we announce the passing of MRS. INGRID FUNK, at the Chinook Regional Hospital, on September 1, 2013 at the age of 92 years. She is survived by her sister Helene, her children Kathryn, Harvey (Connie), Pat, Debby (Paul), Marilyn (Joe), and Doug (Suzanne) and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Her grandchildren Alex, Jack, Jessie, Sam, Nicole, Johanna, Leanna, and Jillian brought her great joy and laughter.

VERNE BRUCE, born July 7, 1952, is predeceased by sister Maureen, brother Roy Insley, his parents Ruby and Wilf Insley. Verne was born in Guelph, Ontario, later moving to Alberta in 1981. He worked for various paving companies with his last employer being McNally Contractors. Verne had been ill for the last few years and passed away from Cancer May 3, 2012 at the Fort Macleod Extendicare. He leaves to mourn, his four sons, Wade (Brandy), Clint (Jay), Matthew, Nick Hamling, and one daughter Anita Insley.

MR. IRA MACDONALD passed away peacefully on June 30, 2008 at the Raymond General Hospital. He was a great dad and grandpa and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Ira was born in Stellarton, Nova Scotia on February 7, 1929. He and his 12 siblings were raised during the great depression. In his younger years, Ira traveled extensively throughout the world as a merchant sailor. While in his twenties he worked on many major construction projects in Western Canada such as the Hart Highway, the Hudson Hope and Mica Hydro Dams.

IRENE Charlotte Harper, came into this world on December 20th, 1915, and left our lives quickly but peacefully on Tuesday, July 23rd, 2013 at the tender age of 97. Left to cherish memories of her smile, wit and charm is her niece, Mrs. Iona Scheu of Edmonton, whom Irene loved as her own daughter, her friends and “adopted kids”, Jackie and Sam and of course Marilyn (Terri/Sherri), and “her girls” at Golden Acres Lodge.

Irene was born at home in Diamond City on August 17, 1916. After completing a hair dressing course, Irene had a wide range of customers, including the ‘madams’ of Lethbridge’s red light district.
