MRS. HELEN ALEXANDER, beloved wife of the late Mr. William Alexander, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at the age of 76 years. Helen is survived by her son Bill (Marilyn) and their son Robb and daughter Heather (Chris) Wozniczko and their children Chandee, Josh and Brandon as well as great grandson Jayden. She is also survived by a loving family in Scotland. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family prior to the service at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Monday, January 21, 2008 from 9:30 A.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Helen Boettcher, Monday, February 11, 2014 at the age of 82 years. Helen was born at the Alexander Galt Hospital in Lethbridge, and graduated from LCI. Helen attended the University of Calgary and graduated with a Certificate in Teaching, and later taught school in Burdett, AB. Helen then moved to Calgary where she began her career in banking at The Dominion Bank.

HELEN ARANYOS (Gelleny), of Lethbridge, passed away on Wednesday, February 27th, 2013 at the age of 79 years. She is survived by her children - Cathy (Cliff) England, Janice (Colin) McLintock, Douglas Zmurchok, Thomas Zmurchok, John (Jennifer) Aranyos, sister, Rose and sisters-in-law Connie & Vivian; 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, John & Barbara Gelleny, spouse John Aranyos, sisters Julianna (Steve), Margaret (Bob), brothers Roy, John (Elsie), Tom & Frank.

HELEN ROSE BEATTIE of Lethbridge, Born January 27, 1935 in Daysland, Alberta, passed away December 23, 2008 at the age of 73 years. Helen is survived by her three children; Lesley Grubel, Bill (Daune), Rudy (Esther); 2 grandchildren Derek and Jack. Helen is also survived by her partner Al Hopp and his children Greg and Jody; numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Helen was predeceased by her late husband William (Bill) Beattie in 1991.

MRS. HELEN LATURNUS, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 5, 2009 at the Coaldale Health Care Centre. She was the beloved wife of John Laturnus Sr. of Coaldale. Helen was born August 30, 1923 in Nagyborzsony, Hungary. In 1930 she came with her mother and sister Liz to join her father, George Antal, in Raymond, AB. She married John Laturnus Sr. on July 2, 1946 in Lethbridge, AB.

HELEN IRENE LOFT (nee Barrows). Born July 21, 1917, passed away October 7, 2012. It is with great sadness that we report the death of our dear mother and grandmother, who passed away at the Milk River Hospital at the age of 95 years. Helen was born and raised on the family farm near Milk River. She worked side by side with Art in the farming operation. She volunteered at the Prairie Rose Lodge at the birthday parties and made cards, as well as other volunteer work for the community.

HELEN M. PETERSEN, (nee Vaselenak), beloved wife of the late Carlton “Dot” W. Petersen passed away peacefully at Extendicare in Lethbridge after a valiant effort for life on Tuesday, October 27th, 2009 at the age of 89 years. Besides her husband passing away in 1998, Helen was predeceased by her brothers Leonard (L.M.) Vaselenak Sr., Albert Vaselenak, John (J.V.) Vaselenak, and Donald Vaselenak; one sister, Marie Vaselenak and one infant daughter in 1944.

Helen was a mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, friend, and Tribal Elder for the Blood Nation. Born on February 12, 1922, on the Blood Reserve in Southern Alberta, Helen was the daughter of the late Cecilia and Steven Fox Sr.

HELEN MARGARET "MERLE" GASSNER, of Lethbridge, passed away on Monday, October 14th at the age of 88 years. Born on October 31, 1924 in Loreburn, SK to Wilbert and Sadye Peardon, a middle child in a family of 14, eight girls and six boys. Merle preferred to be outside helping with farm chores rather than inside cooking & cleaning. It was Merle & her sister (Norma) to deliver milk around town before school each morning.

Helen Mary Kovacs passed away suddenly in her home on May 6 2009, 4 days after her 82nd birthday. She will be dearly missed by her children Greg, Kim, Nadine, and her grandchildren Kelan and Jory. Helen leaves her sister-in-law Anna Blackwood (Art), her brother-in-law John Kovacs (Colleen), her cousins Alice Fransden (Vern), Cliff Firth (Arlene), several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Helen is predeceased by her husband Ernie, her mother Katherine Szarka (Bert), and her aunt Elizabeth Firth (Alwyn).
