GIESBRECHT RODNEY KURT GIESBRECHT, beloved husband of Joan Giesbrecht of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 25th, 2017 at the age of 70 years. Rod and Joan lived in Canmore for many years, owning the local NAPA store before moving to Lethbridge. They were truly blessed with a wonderful family as well as being able to travel many times to wonderful places and to see their daughter Lisa (Steve) and grandson, Liam in California.

Tony was predeceased by his wife Elisabeth (Betty) nee: Lamboo, on December 5, 1983, his sisters Adriana and Riet, and brothers Herman and Edward. He is survived by his children: Tony (Karen) Gieske, John Gieske, Betty (Don) Fuller, Allan (Shannon) Gieske and Tracey Gieske.

After a long and dignified battle with Alzheimer’s disease, Dad passed away peacefully on October 28, 2012 at Taber’s Long Term Care Facility. Dad was predeceased by his father Albert Watmough and mother Mable Crowe, brothers Roy Watmough, Harvey Watmough, Albert Watmough, and sister Doris Pearson. Dad was also predeceased by sisters-in-law Shirley Watmough and Eileen Watmough and brother-in-law Norm Pearson. He was also predeceased by numerous nephews and nieces. Dad will be missed by his children Gayle (Jack) Kwantes of Vancouver, BC, Don Watmough of Peterbrough, Ont, Tracy Watmough of Peterbrough, Ont, Step son Rick (Lynn) De Long of Belleview, Ab, Kimberly Watmough of Peterbrough, Ont and Cynthia Watmough of Lethbridge, Ab.

The Creator called home GILBERT FRANKLIN WOLF PLUME suddenly on Thursday, May 6, 2008, in Calgary, AB. Gilbert, who chose his grandfather’s name, Makoyiisaapo’pa, was a caring and kind-hearted person who would give the shirt off his back to people who asked. He was a man who took on many challenges in his all-too-short 53 years of life. In his younger years, Gilbert had many accomplishments including the sport of boxing.

Gayla is survived by her husband, Stewart Gilborn, daughter LaRae (Wayne) Murphy, daughter-in-law Karen Gilborn and sister Neva (Robert) McNab; grandchildren, Kasey, Leah, Brett, Madison, Shelby and Johnny. Gayla was predeceased by her mother and father, John and Donna Bair and son, Layne Gilborn. Gayla married Stewart Gilborn in 1964.
