GEORGE PATRICK PRESBY, born May 2, 1957 in Sydney, NS., passed away peacefully on April 28, 2009 at the Chinook Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness. George lived and attended school in Big Pond, Cape Breton and Fredericton, New Brunswick. He moved to Calgary in 1975 where he worked various construction jobs and was a courier before upgrading at Mount Royal College. In 1986 he attended SAIT in the Broadcast Electronic Program and later moved to Lethbridge to work for CFAC (now Global Television) George is survived by one daughter, Ashley Presby of Lethbridge; his mother, Martha (Bob) Taylor of Fredericton, NB; father, George (Debi) Presby of St.

George was born June 20, 1935 in Glasgow, Scotland to George and Helena Findlay. He was raised and educated in Glasgow and joined the British Army in 1953. George was posted in many locations and was a Korean War Veteran. He married his sweetheart Christina in 1959 and they immigrated to Canada, residing in Lethbridge until his passing.
