ALLAN FILATOFF passed away at the Coaldale Health Centre after a valiant effort for life on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2016 at the age of 80 years. Allan was predeceased by his father, John, mother Seama and one son Larry. He is survived by one son, Robert (Gwen) of Cranbrook, B.C., two daughters, Kim (Gene) of Sunburst, Montana and Marcy of Kelowna, B.C., five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three sisters, Mildred Filatoff of Lethbridge, Betty Schiele of Penticton, B.

FINCH, CLIFFORD ALLEN

MR. CLIFFORD ALLEN FINCH, of Milk River, passed away with his family at his side at the Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge on Sunday, October 3, 2010 at the age of 78 years. Clifford is survived by his sons Collin, Murray, Wayne and Brian; daughters Wanda, Dena and Dawn; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. Clifford was a man who loved to laugh, and was well known by his nickname “Trouble”. He was a compassionate, thoughtful and honourable man who loved his family and friends.

ELSIE FINNERTY passed away on Sunday, October 22nd, 2017 at the age of 102 years. She was born in Brouse, B.C. and moved to Coaldale and then to Lethbridge. She had a great sense of humor and was a special woman with many talents. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, darts, bowling, clogging, playing cards, bingo, camping, and golf. She was an extremely good cook and loved making jams as well as did lots of canning.

Payoot Ohkomi was born of the Short Robe Clan, on the Blood Reserve, Alberta on February 8, 1931 to Mr. & Mrs. George and Jane First Rider. Mother was fortunate to be brought up in our traditional way of life by our Grandparents Dog Child and Only Handsome Woman.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband Blair First Rider, children; Lizabeth (Rick) Fox and Alvin (Shaundell) First Rider, step-daughter Crystal Wolf of Hobbema, four grandchildren; Brent “Jake”, and Patricia “PJ” Fox, and KaLea and Davis First Rider of Cardston, Alberta, adopted grandchildren; Jon, Joel and Nick Fox, sisters; Mary Barnes, Helen Stiner, Ida Shields, Nora Kennedy from Montana, Eileen (Earl) McDougall and Lizabeth (Roy) LaVoy from Minnesota, brothers Edward Kennedy from New Mexico and James (Wendy) Kennedy from Montana as well as numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom she treated as her own children.

MR. THOMAS C. FIX of Lethbridge, companion to Christine Hoehn, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2011, at the age of 61 years. Tom was born in Edmonton to Emil and Florence. His family moved to Peace River when he was young. He then moved to Lethbridge in 1972 with his wife Margaret and son Tim. Son Trevor was later born in 1976. Tom worked at Terry Bland’s Photography before going to Woolco.

She was born in Woodroyd, MB, to George and Florence Smaldon. Mum is survived by her son Charlie (Lenore) of Lethbridge, daughters Evelyn Yarn (Lloyd) of Winnipeg, Marilyn Moloney (Tom) of Winnipeg, Pat Hawkins (Todd) of Winnipeg, son Ken (Peach) of Gimli, MB, nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, sister Martha Charison, brother Harold Smaldon, sisters-in-law Evelyn Smaldon and Joan Pullin, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
