It is with great sadness and quiet relief that we announce the peaceful passing of Earl Milton Doucette on May 1, 2016. Earl was born June 17, 1921 in New Aberdeen Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. Earl has joined his dear wife Sal, mother Ada, father William Charles, as well ashis 10 brothers and sisters. After a short stint of working in the coalmine, Earl joined the army and was a part of the 13th Field Company Royal Canadian Engineers.

DOUGLAS ROBERT BASSETT, beloved husband and best friend of Wanda Bassett, passed away suddenly in Calgary, AB, on Friday, March 27, 2009. Doug was born on September 11, 1959 in Taber, AB. He grew up and attended school in Raymond, where he graduated from Raymond High School in 1977. Throughout his school years Doug excelled in sports, especially football and hockey. Doug held various jobs throughout his life, most notability working for Frito-Lay for 10 years with his brother Rick and Stampede Park in Calgary for 9 years where he was Race Foreman of Operations.

CROWE DOUGLAS JAMES “LIGHTNING” CROWE, passed away at Edith Cavell Care Centre on Thursday, March 7th, 2013 at the age of 61 years. Doug was born September 7, 1951 in High River, Alberta. When he was 6 years old the family moved from Longview to Stavely. Doug received his education between Stavely, Nanton and Claresholm. After graduation in 1971 Doug worked at various jobs: construction, farm labourer. In 1975 Doug purchased his 1970 Mack truck and started his own company, General Hauling.

DOUGLAS LYLE RICHARDSON, loving companion of Margaret Davidson of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at the age of 83 years. Douglas will be sadly missed by his children Nancy Dann of London, ON and Michael (Alison) Richardson of Calgary and grandchildren Ilija Labus, Elizabeth Margaret Dann, Connor James and Casey Heather Richardson. He was predeceased by his children’s mother Barbara Elizabeth Richardson. Douglas was born on July 29, 1924 in Hamilton, ON.

DOUGLAS MICHAEL SMEREK passed away at his home on Monday, July 14, at the age of 66 years. Doug is survived by his children and grandchildren who were all a great source of pride to him: His two daughters: Kelly (Rob) and children, Courtney, Danielle and Brooke; Kim and her daughter Maggie; His son Michael (Eva) and a baby on the way that Doug will have to boast about in Heaven.

DOUGLAS ROBERT SNIDER of Lethbridge passed away on December 11th, 2008 at the age of 70 years. A Service of Remembrance will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive S., Lethbridge on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 11 am, with a luncheon to follow. All who knew Douglas are welcome to attend and celebrate his life and remember the truly wonderful person he was. Reverend Cathy Coates officiating.

Ruby Douglas passed away at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Grande Prairie, AB on June 19, 2010 surrounded with love by her children - Linda, Jim, Marlene, Jack and Eileen, and by her grand children - Doug, Stacey, Cara, Crista, Jamie, Derrick and David. Other family not able to be with her - Sean, Garrett and Joe as well as Jan, Elijah, Jessie, David, Cheryl, Clint, Berkley and Garth. She was 88 years old.

DOUGLAS ROY DOW, beloved husband of June Dow, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, December 8, 2017 at the age of 65 years. A Celebration of Doug's Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB, on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor John Moerman officiating. In lieu of flowers and in memory of Doug, donations may be to STARS Air Ambulance - 1441 Aviation Park NE, Calgary, AB T2E 8M7.

Dr. Yoon Chang Chen, beloved partner of Marjorie Chen of Calgary, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on February 7, 2008 at the age of 72 years. He is the loving father of Lei Lian (Chen) and Darren Pepper of Lethbridge, Kim Chen and Jill Kinsey of Bluffdale, Utah, Su-Lin (Chen) and Tony Fantella of Melbourne, Australia and Bruce Harvey (Stepson). He is also the loving grandfather of: Jesse, Jordan, Katie and Zoe Pepper, Courtney and Michael Chen and Tatiana and Chloe Fantella.

DR. DONALD ARTHUR RICE, passed away at St. Therese Villa on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at the age of 87 years. Donald was predeceased by his loving wife Ruth of 56 years. He is survived by his children Bob (Mieke) Rice of Lethbridge, AB; George Rice of London, ON; and Nancy (Jim) Noiles of Nelson, BC; his precious grandchildren: Michael, Jason (Jasmine), Alan (Lindsay Calder) and Tyler Rice (Catherine Sarter) and Kristin and Kathryn Noiles.
