CHARLES KIELY

CHARLES ALEXANDER KIELY, beloved husband of the late June Kiely, passed away quietly at home on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at the age of 72 years. Charlie was born in St. Boniface, Manitoba and spoke fondly of his childhood growing up in the north end of Winnipeg as an “Irish-Uke” with his younger sister Cathy. He attended St. Paul’s Academy and Tech-Voc before starting a career in the mortgage industry. He worked with Canada Mortgage and Housing, Canada Trust and Royal Trust before deciding to attend the University of Lethbridge in the early 1980s where he earned his degree in education and then taught for a brief time with Lethbridge Separate School Board before taking a position with Lethbridge Community College where he became a business education and software instructor.

MR. WILLIAM STANLEY CHARLES, beloved husband of the late Dorothy Jean Charles, of Lethbridge, passed away at St. Therese’s Villa on July 2, 2011 at the age of 96 years. Stan is the loving father of Chris (Dawn) of Lethbridge. He is also survived by his grandson, Dwayne (Laura) and his great grandson, Carson; his nephews and their children: Kerry (Barb), and David and Elizabeth; Murray (Cindy), and Richard and Michelle.

ARTHUR RICHARD CHARLESWORTH (ART), beloved husband of Stephanie (Doren), passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at the age of 83 years, surrounded by his loving family, after a brief illness. Art was born on September 23, 1925 in Bellevue, AB, to Arthur and Elsie (Talbot) Charlesworth. In 1927, Art's family moved to the farm in the Barrhill area near Picutre Butte. Art lived on this farm for 75 years excepting the years he faithfully served his country in the Royal Canadian Navy, during the Second World War.

MAUREEN CHARLESWORTH, beloved wife of the late Howard Charlesworth, passed away peacefully at her home after a brief illness at the age of 80 years. Maureen was born on July 28, 1930 in Coalhurst, Alberta to Jim and Ethel Beveridge. She was raised at the head gates for LNID before moving to the Barrhill area. Mom attended school in Bulmer and Barrhill School; before moving to Calgary to attend school. She returned to Lethbridge and worked for the PFRA.

WILLIAM “HOWARD” CHARLESWORTH, beloved husband of Mrs. Maureen Charlesworth of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, Alberta, with his loving family at his side on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at the age of 80 years. Besides his loving wife of 56 years, Howard is survived by his children; Elaine (Jerry) Fress, Diane (Arnold) Shumaker, Karen (Gerry) Moore and Craig (Arlene) Charlesworth as well as grandchildren; Cory (Lila) Fress, Kelly Fress, Braden Shumaker, Ryan (Tara) Moore and Devin Moore, along with great-grandson Quinton Howard Moore.

MR. DOUGLAS WILLIAM CHENERY, beloved husband of the late Mary Chenery passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 2, 2011. Doug leaves to mourn his sons Bob (Joan) and Gary, daughters Linda, Gail (Gib) and Deborah, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Doug was born in Birmingham, England October 25, 1919 and spent most of his life in the McNally District. Cremation, with a private Interment at a later date.
