CAROL ANNE SZPAK of Lethbridge, AB, passed away at St. Michael’s Palliative Care Unit on Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at the age of 61 years after a valiant battle with cancer. Carol is survived by Gordie, her loving husband of 42 years and their son Darren (Stephanie) of Victoria and daughter Lori (Tom Borau) of Calgary and precious granddaughter Madison Borau. Carol is also survived by her sister Valerie (Tim Seehagel), brother Clark Johnson, mother-in-law Ann Szpak, sisters-in-law Sharon (Ken Moriyama), Charlene (Bill Hutton), brothers-in-law Stephen Szpak and Marvin (June) Walker, stepmother Lillian Johnson, stepsisters Ashala Bracken and Terry (Bruce Johnson) as well as numerous nieces and a nephew.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of DONALD GAIL CARPENTER at the age of 79 years on June 7th, 2018 after a long battle with leukemia. Don left behind his wife Elinor of 54 years, daughter Stacey, son Scott, and three grand-daughters Ashton, Skye and Shyla. Don joined the Lethbridge Fire Department on June 1st, 1964, advanced to Platoon Chief in 1997 and retired in February of 2000.

IRENE CARTER, was born December 24, 1937 beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister ,aunt and friend passed away January 17, 2016. Irene is survived by her husband of 55 years Jack, daughter Lisa (Dean), grandchildren, Forrest, McKenzie and Chance, sister Mary and nieces Renee, Carol (Greg) and their children. Irene loved to spend time with family and friends, especially her dear and long time friend Jan; as well as her cousin Mary, with whom she travelled the world and shared precious memories old and new.

CASE Before she was born (9:32 PM, April 1, 2011), our gracious God saw fit to take to Himself our little girl, Talitha Grace. According to His infinite wisdom & sovereign will (Isa.46:10), He demonstrated once again His eternal love in sparing our little girl from the pains of this fallen, broken, & sinful world. He who knit Talitha together in her mother’s womb (Psa.139:13), & who breathed into her life (Job33:4), also graciously chose to gather back the life-breath He had given her (34:14-15).

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved husband, father and grandfather, CASEY OVERES, who passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at the St. Michael’s Palliative Care Centre in Lethbridge at the age of 72 years. Casey was born in de Hoof, Holland on May 25, 1937. He was the third youngest of 13 children born to Simon and Catharina Overes. In 1952 he immigrated to Canada with his family, settling in the Picture Butte area.

MR. CARMELO CASTELLI, beloved husband of the late Mrs. Valeria Castelli of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at the Edith Cavell Care Centre on Sunday, October 31, 2010 at the age of 86 years. Carmelo is survived by his family: Oriano (Donna) Castelli, Bruno Castelli and by his grandchildren Zachary, Nickolas and Kristopher, all of Lethbridge. He is also survived by two sisters; Maria Cupin and Liliana Chersicola both of Trieste, Italy and numerous other relatives in Italy, and Yugoslavia.
