MRS. LYDIA BETKE passed away on Monday, September 27, 2010 at the Chinook Regional Hospital at the age of 71 years after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. She was born on March 15, 1939 to Edward and Julianna Fiedler in Lubiel, Poland. Lydia, her parents and siblings immigrated to Canada in 1952 and settled in the Picture Butte area. She went to school in Picture Butte, McNally and Coaldale. After High School she received her Nursing Aide certificate and worked at various hospitals in Calgary, Brooks and Medicine Hat.

BETTY CLARKE of Lethbridge, AB., passed away at the St. Michael’s Palliative Care Centre on Monday, March 11th, 2013 at the age of 87 years. Betty will be missed by daughter Patricia Anne, son-in-law Peter, and grandson Steven Ryan Madany. She was predeceased by husband Charles Rufus Clarke, daughter Denise Pauline Goode, and grandson John Graham Madany. A Memorial Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB on Friday, March 15th, 2013 at 10:30 A.

BETTY FRIG (NEE PITT), loving wife of E.W. Roy Frig of Lethbridge and mother of Len (Dyane) Frig of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Thursday, August 16, 2007 at the age of 77 years. Besides her loving husband E.W. Roy Frig, Betty is survived by son Len (Dyane) Frig and their children Heather (Brian) Reche and Krystal as well as great granddaughter Kylie of Salt Lake City, Utah.

MRS. BETTY JOYCE KARAPITA nee Carlson, beloved wife of Mr. Mervin ‘Red’ Karapita of Lethbridge, passed away at the St. Michael’s Health Centre, Palliative Care on Monday, August 20, 2007 at the age of 69 years. Besides her loving husband of 42 years, Betty is survived by her children Dana Karapita of Claresholm and Kent Karapita of Claresholm. Betty is also survived by her sister-in-law Ann Carlson and her family Lorna (Lloyd) and Graeme (Tammy) and their daughter Kaylin, sister-in-law Sylvia (Bud) Moan and their family Warren, Pam and Kim, sister-in-law Iris Dixon and her son Alan as well as numerous other relatives in Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and Ireland.

BETTY WESTWOOD, beloved wife of the late Malcolm Westwood, of Coalhurst, passed away after a lengthy illness at the St. Michael Health Centre, Palliative Care unit, on Friday, October 30, 2009 at the age of 70 years. She is the loving mother of; Lesley Leblanc (Doug Wilson) of Coalhurst and Laurey (Clarence) Zerkee of Lethbridge; four grandchildren, Jeremy (Melissa) Leblanc of Petawa, ON, Daniel Leblanc of Petewawa, ON, Billy Leblanc of Lethbridge and Mary Zerkee of Lethbridge, two great grandchildren Havana Little and Cooper Leblanc.

BEULAH MAE EVES passed away peacefully in Milk River, after a lengthy illness on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at the age of 89 years. Born February 23, 1920 in Elstow, Sask she was the loving daughter of Ross and Mae Penrose. She is survived by two sons, Ross (Bunny) Eves of Kelowna, B.C. and Doug Eves of Onoway, AB., five daughters; Sharon (Russ) Erickson of Lethbridge, Beth (Dale) Leffingwell of Lethbridge, Jolaine (Doug) Toms of Calgary, Debra (Bret) Hierath of Edson and Lanai (Ron) Schamber of Lethbridge.

MRS. BEVERLY ANN WALDNER, beloved wife of Mr. John Waldner, of Del Bonita, AB., passed away at the St. Michael\'s Palliative Care Centre on Friday, May 4, 2013 at the age of 52 years. Born September 5, 1960 to Ivan and Agnes Renner at 2 lbs, she spent her first year fighting for her life. She married John and spent her life camping, sewing, selling Tupperware and candles, loving family and her many dogs.

WILLIAM “WILL” BIER, beloved husband of Charlene Bier and beloved daddy of Tyson Bier of Vulcan, passed away on November 29, 2011 at the age of 29 years. Will is survived by his parents Bill and Joanmarie Bier of Stirling, one sister Stephanie (Matthew) Rilkoff of Lethbridge, parents in law Carl and Patricia Earl of Vulcan, sisters in law and brother in law, Amanda Earl (Tracey McIntyre), of Busby, Alicia (Clayton and Emily) Dowie of Vulcan.

MR. BILL (GYSBERT) BIESBROEK, beloved husband of Mrs. Alice Biesbroek of Lethbridge, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at the age of 80 years. Bill also leaves to cherish his memory, his children: Carolyn (Keith) Marnoch of Nobleford, Roz (John) Csurka of Lethbridge, Patti (Darin) Wobick of Barons, and Annette (Greg) Fraser of Calgary. As an Opa he will be fondly remembered by his 7 grandchildren, Christopher and Brandon Marnoch, Britany and Renae Csurka and Raleigh, Connor and Arie Fraser.

Melvin passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, September 24, 2010, surrounded by his family at the age of 57. Melvin is survived by his children; sons: Justin, Myron, John and Sherwyn; daughters: Melory and Skye, stepchildren; Leon, Shannon, Tia, Terry, Lacey, Amber and his grandchildren; Jay Hugh, Alex, Talen, Marshall, Aidin, Hunter, Mackenzie, Kailum, Shawdon, Kiera, Lennox, Lilly, Diego and Devlon.
