It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of ANNA BARTOSEK, beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Anna passed away on February 21 at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital as a result of injuries suffered from a fall in her home. Anna was born on March 11, 1926 in Hajkowka, Poland, the second of four children born to Gregory and Maria Szpendyk. The family was forced to flee their homeland shortly after the beginning of World War ll, resulting in them being placed in German work camps.

MR. BASTIAAN VISSER of Picture Butte, beloved husband of Mrs. Maria Visser for 53 years, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at the age of 75 years. Besides his loving wife Maria, Bastiaan is survived by his son Leo Visser of Calgary, children Rebecca and Sam and daughter Gonnie (Chester), children Maria (Jamie deKok) and Tristan. He is also survived by his brother Wico (Ina) Visser in Oud Beijerland, The Netherlands and his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Emmy (Piet) de Groot in Mijnsherenland, The Netherlands.

JACK BASTIEN (SPY-II-KWAN) NOVEMBER 19, 1923 TO SEPTEMBER 2, 2010 Spy-ii-kwan - Jack Bastien was called home by the Creator at the age of 86 on Thursday, September 2, 2010. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Jenny in 1995, his son, Marshall in 2010 and a baby daughter, Byrdie in 1963. He was also predeceased by his father Oniseam Bastien, his mother Lucy Lost, an uncle and aunt that raised him; Johnny and Julia Bastien, his brother Walter Bastien and his sister Bernadette Grier.

Adapta Care was her home for the last 12 years and she received excellent care. Bernice was born in Lethbridge on January 31st, 1911 to Wilfred and Anna Marie Beasley. She was raised and educated in Lethbridge. She was predeceased by both her parents and her only brother, Chess.
