BASIL BEK of Barons, AB. and beloved husband of Tracey Szpuniarski, passed away peacefully at the St. Michael's Health Centre, on Monday, January 4, 2016, at the age of 64 years. Along with his wife Tracey, he is lovingly remembered by his stepchildren: William Leishman from Lethbridge, Shane (Brianne) Leishman from Lethbridge and Blair (Brandy) Leishman from Coaldale, grandchildren: Brady Hoffman, Tyson, Kyle, Alexander and Elizabeth Leishman, sisters Helen (George) Acheson and Irene Bek both of Sherwood Park, as well as his nieces: Keri (Bryan) Facchin, Zoe and Jasmin, Sherry Acheson and Cole Clark.

COLLETTE BLACK FACE, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at the age of 61 years. A Family Service will be held at the LETHBRIDGE CENTRAL CHURCH OF CHRIST, 716-23 Street North, Lethbridge, AB., on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 6:00 P.M. with Pastor Ken Kissick officiating, followed by a Wake Service from 7:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. A Funeral Service will be held at the LETHBRIDGE CENTRAL CHURCH OF CHRIST on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 1:00 P.

SHIRLEY YVONNE BEANE (nee HELMER), beloved wife of the late Oren Beane, passed away peacefully after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Shirley is lovingly remembered by her children Karen Bader (Tom Sanders) of Lethbridge, Randy Horne (Sue Tegart) of Carbon, Jack Horne of Lethbridge, Darren Horne of Venezuela, stepchildren; Jeff (Cathy) Beane, Tim (Heather) Beane, both of Wainwright, Rory Beane of Calgary, Michael Bean and Kelly Harris as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The Brodoway Family sadly announce the passing of their husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, MR. ADAM BRODOWAY, beloved husband of Mrs. Shirley Brodoway, on September 26th, 2015 at the age of 80 years. Adam Brodoway set the standard for dedication and perfection to his wife and family and to his community. Adam was born on April 1st, 1935 in Melfort, Sask, the sixth of 11 children to Michael and Anne Brodoway.

MARY LILLIAN BLAIR, beloved wife of the late Robert Blair, of Lethbridge, passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre, on Friday, August 7th, 2015 at the age of 85 years. She is the loving mother of LeRoy (Dolores) Lazarick of Calgary, AB, Priscilla Lazarick, of Lethbridge, AB, Wayne (Cindy) Lazarick of Lethbridge, AB, Gloria (Larry) Trentini of Coaldale, AB, and Brenda (Ron) Latimer of Kingston, ON as well as 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

MR. DON VERNON BERENT, loving husband of the late Lucille Berent, passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness, surrounded by family at St. Michael's Health Centre - Palliative Care Unit on Tuesday July 14, 2015 at the age of 80 years. Don was born to Pat and Lenora Berent on December 25, 1934 at the family home in Claresholm. He was brother to Faye (Bob) Whitlock, Rita (Ross) Lyon, Gerry (Kathie) Berent, Deanna (Don) Niemetz, and Darrell Berent.

HILDA MARGARET BIG SWAN of the Piikani Nation, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, June 26, 2015 at the age of 85 years. She is lovingly remembered by her son Hiram (Cynthia) Big Swan, grandchildren Inez Yellowhorn, Zachery (Jayme) Big Swan, Isaiah Big Swan and Kalib Smith and great-grandchildren Piper Yellowhorn, Malakai Big Swan and Mirika Steele. She was the last descendant from the lineage of the late Chief Phillip and Annie Big Swan (nee Meat Face).

DIANE "DINIE" BERNS, beloved wife of the late Theodore "Ted" Berns, of Lethbridge, AB., passed away at the Foothills Medical Centre on Sunday, June 21st, 2015 at the age of 84 years. She is the loving mother of John (Isabelle) Berns, George Berns, Ted (Lorrie) Berns, Andy Berns & Nancy (Roy) Schaefer, as well as the adoring grandma of 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Besides her loving husband, Diane was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, one sister and a daughter-in-law.

DR. RAY BAINBOROUGH, beloved husband of Barbara Goodwin-Bainborough, of Raymond, passed away at the Prairie Ridge Lodge on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the age of 97 years. Ray Bainborough was born in Toronto, Ontario on March 8, 1918, the oldest brother among three, and lived in a number of smaller Ontario towns until his family settled in Gore Bay, Ontario, on the Manitoulin Island in 1929. It was there he met his first wife, Orrice McDougall, to whom he was married until her death in 1996.

HORACE WILLIAM "Spum" BIRD Jr. (BLACK PLUME), passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Friday, May 15, 2015 at the age of 46 years. Horace is lovingly remembered by his children, Kurenza Bird (Jeremy Spear Chief), Horace Trent Bird III and Brett Michael Weasel Head as well as his only grandchild, Abby Spear Chief, whom he adored. He is also survived by his sister Kaily Bird, brothers Dexter and Rodney Black Plume, Ruben Many Chief and Byron Crying Head.
