How do you recap the life of someone who was so loving, caring, giving, strong, talented and intelligent. Mom loved people, she liked to interact and make new friends. When she moved here she soon had "Coffee Friends, Church Friends, & Curves Friends"

MERNA DEONE OSLANSKI BURR, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital in the loving arms of her family, on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the age of 68 years after a valiant battle with lung cancer and pneumonia. Merna was born on February 4, 1949 in Raymond, AB, to Gabriel and Ruby Oslanski. She is lovingly remembered and cherished by her husband Ron, daughter Kristie, son Jamie (Carol) and grandchildren Janessa, Jeremy and Thea as well as her sister and brothers and Ron's sister and brothers.

TECKLA BIRKEDAL passed away peacefully at the Sunnysouth Lodge in Coaldale, AB on October 4, 2017 at the age of 93 years. She is survived by her daughters Marjorie (Bob) Wiens, Isabel (Joe) Lubin, Lorna (Joe) Lavorato, Betty Grant and Lucy Stang, her nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, as well her sisters Annamary Anwender and Theresa Bouvier and numerous nieces and nephews. Teckla was predeceased by her husband Pete, her sons-in-law David Grant and Tom Stang, brothers Cosmos, William, Max and Adam and her sister Emma.

EMILY BETEGH, age 67, beloved wife of the late Joseph Betegh, died unexpectedly September 1, 2017, from a tragic accident in her home. Emily was born October 13, 1949, in Satu-Mare, Romania, the daughter of Steve and Emilia (née Kiraly) Radvanszky. Emily will forever be remembered and greatly missed by her devoted and beloved children; daughter Sophia Betegh, (grandsons Matthew and Zachary Hamelin and their father Geoff), and her son Steven Betegh.

A Life Well Lived: PHIL BOON was born July 16, 1920 in Liverpool, England: the youngest child and the only son of his parents Henry and Caroline Boon. He left school at the age of 14 years (as was common in those days) and was apprenticed as a Printer. Phil went on to serve in the British Army Engineer Corps during World War II where he spent 6 years in Egypt excelling at many engineering projects.

Gavin leaves to mourn his parents: Candace and David, grandparents: Amber (Heinz) Langworthy, Dennis (Carol) Langworthy, Sherry Schafer Burt and Barry (Katherine) Burt, great grandpa Nick Wiggill, aunts and uncles: Dallas (Stacey) Langworthy, Troy Langworthy, John (Erin) Burt and Emily (Geoff) Burt as well as cousins: Jack, Hannah and Leah Burt.

Mick is the loving father of Jacquie (Wes) Rasmussen of Lethbridge, Kathy Thompson of Lethbridge, Susan Koma of Hinton, Jennifer Barnett (Chris Ross) of Lethbridge and Austin (Savannah) Barnett of Lethbridge. His memory is also cherished by his ten grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
