Obituary: A

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother and loving wife of the late Vic Arelis. Joan is also predeceased by her brothers, Norman, Mel and Roy Doram. Joan quietly passed away at the St. Michael's Health Care Palliative Care Unit surrounded by family and friends after a bold and courageous battle with cancer. Joan attended school in the Readymade area , and grew up on the farm with six brothers before moving to Lethbridge.

JOHN ALLEMEKINDERS, beloved fiance to Hilly Sullivan of Lethbridge, passed away at the St. Michael's Health Centre, on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at the age of 75 years. John is survived by his daughter Catherine (Morry) Hunt and the apples of his eyes, his three grandchildren; Sarah (Dan) Neufeld, Amanda Mackenzie (Justin Brick) and Tanner Mackenzie (Brittany McGrath), four great grandchildren, Tazman and Aurelia Neufeld and Tavis and Aaliyah Brick.

MR. ARTHUR GRICE passed away peacefully at his home in Lethbridge on Monday, November 6, 2006 at the age of 57 years.

MR. AXEL ELIEF KIELSTRUP JOHANSEN, beloved husband of Mrs. Kirstine Johansen of Lethbridge passed away on Friday, January 13, 2006 at the age of 84 years.

ABERDEEN MR. LINDSEY ABERDEEN passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at the age of 59 years. Funeral arrangements to be announced when completed.

DONALD MELVIN ACKERMAN, age 93, passed peacefully away in St. Michael's Care Centre on Monday, January 9, 2012. He leaves to celebrate his life, wife Sarah, daughter Patricia Riis, both in Lethbridge and son Gerald (Jean) in Kindersley, SK; as well as four lovely grand-daughters and five great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by brother Vernon and grandson Richard Riis, both of Saskatoon. No funeral at his request. DICK ADACHI passed away suddenly in Lethbridge on Monday, June 11, 2018 at the age of 83 years. Dick is survived by his siblings, Audrey (Walt - deceased) Shimozawa of Burnaby, BC, Kiyo Adachi, Roy (Nancy) Adachi and Fumiko Adachi, all of Lethbridge, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Yoshikuni and Yoshiko and siblings, Miyoe (Sadaharu) Okuda of Japan and Jim (Naomi) Adachi of Lethbridge.

IWAO (SPUD) ADACHI, of Lethbridge, passed away at home on Wednesday February 21, 2018 at the age of 85 years. Spud is survived by his sisters Joan and Elizabeth, two brothers Ted (Theone) and Yoo. Along with his siblings he is survived by a nephew, two nieces and two great nieces. A Private Family Service will be held at a later date. The family greatly declines food, flowers and koden.

YOO ADACHI, of Lethbridge, passed away at the Fairmont Extendicare on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at the age of 79 years. Yoo is survived by his sisters Joan and Elizabeth and one brother Ted (Theone). Along with his siblings, he is survived by a nephew, two nieces and two great-nieces. A Private Family Service will be held at a later date. The family greatly declines food, flowers and koden.

CATHERINE JOY AGNEW, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at the age of 49 years.
