She was predeceased by her loving husband of 66 years, Bob, in 2021 and her son David (Barb) Lees in 2000.
Raised in Toronto, Tish was the eldest and last surviving child of her parents, Ross and Ruby Harkness. It was there she met and married her husband Bob in 1954. They eventually settled in Calgary, where she earned the moniker as “Canada’s Greatest Sports Fan” when Bob discovered her reading a book while they were attending a key Stampeders football game. “Trish”, as she was often mistakenly called, and the “Ever-Ready Bunny” by those who marveled at her ability to ‘keep on going’ despite her many medical challenges, was a giant of the Alberta Travel Industry for nearly 40 years. The diminutive 5’ ½” Tish was truly a trailblazer of her generation, balancing the challenge of being homemaker and career woman in an era in which this wasn’t the norm. Her sunny disposition and oft-times childlike demeanor sparked an infectious joy when others were around her. This was especially true of her grandkids, who took delight seeing grandma playfully poke out her tongue or enthrall them with one of her many stories.
A private Celebration of Life was previously held in keeping with Tish’s desire. Memorial tributes may be directed to Green Acres Foundation (Lethbridge) (www.greenacres.ab.ca/donate).

My condolences to the family. I had the extreme pleasure of working for Tish in the 70's. I learned so much from her about the industry and about life. They were lessons so valuable that I passed them on to others long after we parted ways. May you be comforted in your loss by the any memories you have.
Many wonderful memories of you Rest in peace
Our deepest condolences on the passing of your Mom.
Tish was such a bright light, with a truly buoyant spirit. My deepest sympathy to her cherished family, and many friends.
To the Lees family, I would like to extend my condolences to everyone. Your parents were such an integral part of the travel industry in Calgary for decades. As a young travel agent, your mom acted as a mentor to me and so many others. I remember many trips to ACTA and Women in Travel conventions. In addition, I always appreciated your parent’s efforts for Skal International Calgary. May all of you carry fond family memories with you and may those memories comfort you as you move forward without your beloved mom and grandmother.
Wishing you peace and comfort .
