CAROL ANN LEAVITT, beloved wife of Darryl Leavitt, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at the age of 72 years.

CAROL ANN LEAVITT, beloved wife of Darryl Leavitt, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully with her family at her side, on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at the age of 72 years.

Besides her loving husband, Darryl, Carol is survived by her daughter Lori (Mike) Waldner, daughter-in-law Charlotte, seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and brother Ron (Bobbie) Swinney of Shawingan Lake, BC.

Mom was predeceased by her mother Vera Young, stepfather William "Bill" Young, son Kelly and son Wade.

Carol was born August 1, 1944 in Lethbridge, Alberta. She married Darryl Leavitt on December 22, 1962 and they lived in Cardston, before finally moving to Lethbridge. They raised three children, Kelly, Wade and Lori. Mom loved curling and spending time in her back yard with family. She will be best remembered for her unconditional love for family and her witty humor.

A very special thank you to the Palliative Care staff at St. Michael's Health Centre.

A Celebration of Mom's Life will be held where she worked for the past 15 years at the HENDERSON LAKE GOLF CLUB, 2727 South Parkside Drive, Lethbridge, AB, on Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M.

In memory of Carol, if friends desire, memorial tributes may be made to St. Michael's Health Centre, Palliative Care Unit, 1400-9th Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB, T1J 4V5.

To Lori and the Family: We will not be able to make it to the memorial service so instead we offer our condolences through this email. We were always happy to see Carol working the snack shack as she always had a smile and encouraging words for our golf game. She was just a lovely person and We will miss her!
