Ernie was born on May 24, 1943 and was educated in Lethbridge. He spent most of his adult life as a partner in the accounting firm Young Parkyn McNab and Co. He enjoyed working with the quality staff and clients for over 40 years. Recreation was always a big part of Ernie's life and he treasured spending time with his grandchildren at his cabins in Whitefish Montana and Castle Mountain Resort. Geri was Ernie's greatest love and she came into his life for the third time in 1999 and they married in their home in 2000. The last 14 years have seen the two of them traveling the world together. Ernie was friend, mentor and advisor to many people no matter where they came from. They often had someone living at their house while attending school nearby. He will be missed by a large group of people that he laughed with and generously shared his life with.
A Celebration of Ernie's Life will be held at THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER DAY SAINTS, STAKE CENTRE, 2410-28th Street South, Lethbridge, AB on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 12:00 P.M. with Bishop Kevin Goth presiding, followed by a reception and lunch at the Coast Hotel, 526 Mayor Magrath Dr. South, Lethbridge, AB.
