Les, Kathy, and family: my sincere sympathy to you on the passing of Elsie! She was a very nice lady. I remember her well from the years she and Chuck lived on the farm. I always enjoyed a visit with her, whether I saw her in Champion or Vulcan or down in Lethbridge. Especially sad to see another "old timer" gone who was once so much a part of the Champion district!

We were friends with Elsie and she was very kind to us and to our children. She even sang with my then 12 year old son for our oldest son's wedding and at Fort Macleod's Vaudville night one year. Elsie was dearly loved by our family! It was wonderful to spend some time with you Les and Kathy at St. Therese while visiting Elsie and to meet your daughter and her family on one of our recent visits. We will miss Elsie but know that she is well-loved where she is now. Prayers of comfort for your family at this difficult time.

We grew up in Carmangay and Elsie and Albert (Chuck) Krasman were good friends of our parents Audrey and Mac Baldwin. We have many memories of Elsie and her family. She was always enthusiastic about music, always interested in what everyone in our family was up to, and enjoyed young people. As a young girl, Verna fondly remembers Elsie sharing her love of music with her and also dressing up in Elsie's clothes. She was a special friend to our mother and father. We send our condolences to the Krasman family.

I knew Elsie through my late mother Reiko Takeyasu and late step-father Elmer Bolick. They spent a number of years doing Kareoke together and were the best of friends. I remember her as a kind and generous person, with both her time and her cooking! :)

I was sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She was a great lady and will be missed by many. She is free of pain now. I used to clean for her a number of years ago and had met you once Les. I never met Kathy but Elsie spoke of her often and your daughter. I used to call in and see her in St. Terese and got to see your granddaughter. Elsie was so proud of her. My condolences to your family.

I met Elsie two ways. We lived in Parkbridge Estates for a few years while she was also living there. Second, regarding music, Elsie was a wonderful help to me when I began learning karaoke. She also joined the Golden Mile Singers at my invitation. In her twilight years at St Therese, I saw her every week and often invited her to a brief church service. She especially enjoyed the music and seemed to think I was a wonderful pianist. She was also very complimentary to me when I directed our senior singing group. About a month ago Elsie told me she felt she was "going downhill". I told her she had lived a long life and perhaps it was time now to begin to let go, that there was no shame in that. She quietly sobbed, indeed we shed tears together and it was indeed a special moment. With sympathy to her son and daughter-in-law. I believe she is in a better place and likely entertaining others singing beautiful songs.
