WILLIAM "BILL" VICTOR KRAMPL, beloved husband of Joanne Krampl, passed away at the St. Michael's Health Centre - Palliative Care Unit, on Saturday, August 27th, 2016 at the age of 70 years.
WILLIAM "BILL" VICTOR KRAMPL, beloved husband of Joanne Krampl, passed away at the St. Michael's Health Centre - Palliative Care Unit, on Saturday, August 27th, 2016 at the age of 70 years.
Bill is survived by his wife Joanne, children Bill Jr. (Wendy), Bobby (Shelley), Chantelle, step-children Adele and Blaine, grandchildren Jessica, Taylor, Legacy, Maggie, Robbie, Lyric and Declan, step-grandchildren Anastasia and Mattius, brother John (Gayle), sisters Mary (Kurt), Ann, Shirley (Larry), Rose, Linda (Rudy), Martha (Doug), Vicki (Lyle), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his wife Lora, son Brian, parents Victor and Martha, brothers Joseph, Jerry and Frank, niece Debbie and brother-in-law Merlyn.
Bill was born in Onoway, Alberta on February 7, 1946. Bill had four brothers and seven sisters. Bill attended school in Diamond City, AB. and Shaughnessy, AB., later finishing high school at the Lethbridge College at the top of his class.
Bill started working for ADRI - Animal Diseases and Research Institute at the river bottom as a hired hand at age 18, working his way up to farm manager 35 years later.
Bill has four children and two step children; Bill Jr., Robert, Brian (deceased) and Chantelle, step-children Adele and Blaine Emelson, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild awaiting birth.
Bill retired at the age of 55 years, having many happy years hunting, quading, travelling, fishing, jeep racing and oh yes! Golf, senior golf, Interclub golf, weekend golf, Tuesday golf and dare I forget, league golf and tournament golf. Another passion of Bill`s was vehicles-he has owned almost every model and make of vehicle made in North America and Bill`s brothers-in-law Tom said it best, ``Bill, don`t get upset at me if I don`t wave back because I never know what you`re driving.`` Throughout Bill`s career, he has met many dignitaries and received the Order of Canada for his work. Bill and Joanne were happily married for ten years.
Bill will be greatly missed for his firm handshakes and ready smile, his humour and colourful language, and his strength of character and determination.
A Prayer Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME - 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, Alberta, on Thursday, September 1st, 2016 at 7:00 P.M. with Deacon Cliff Bogdan officiating.
A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH - 2405 - 12 Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB., on Friday, September 2nd, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. with Father Kevin Tumback celebrating.
A Private Family Interment will be held at Mountain View Cemetery.
