CASE KORVER passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at the age of 90 years. He was the beloved husband of Winnie for almost 60 years. He was a dear father, grandfather, and great-grandfather to Nick & Greta (Erik & Brittany, William) (Jenessa & Marco), Harry & Sharon (Jaylen & Laura) (Kendra & Justin), Randy & Lisa (Reed) (Bethany) (Elaina). He is also survived by his brothers Bill (Hilda) and Arie (Bev), sisters-in-law Ann & Hennie, brothers-in-law Fred (Margaret) Bosma and Andy (Nellie) Bosma, as well as numerous nieces & nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents Nicholas & Grace, brothers Cor & Nick, sister Grace Maheux, nephew Paul, father-in-law Andrew Bosma, brother-in-law & sister-in-law Louis & Betty Brandsma, and sister-in-law Anne Bosma.
Case was born on December 28, 1930, in Utrecht, Holland. At the age of 17, the family immigrated to Southern Alberta and lived in various communities before the family settled on a farm north of Coaldale in 1959. In March 1962, he married Winnie Bosma and they were blessed with 3 sons. In 1970, he took over the family farm and continued to farm until his retirement to Coaldale in 1996. In 2020, he & Winnie moved to Elim Village in Lethbridge.
Case was a faithful member of the Christian Reformed Church. He loved to research history and places around the world on his computer. He also enjoyed gardening, doing puzzles, listening to music, and watching sports. His greatest love was his family, and he cherished the times he spent with them.
He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family and all who knew him.
A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery on Friday, October 8, 2021 with Pastor Jim Zondervan officiating. A public Memorial Service will be held once restrictions ease.
