Klein, Edna

EDNA LYALL KLEIN, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at the age of 79 years. Edna spent her last days surrounded by her family.

Edna was born on February 2, 1938 in Gull Lake Saskatchewan and was raised on her family farm in Tomkins, Saskatchewan. Edna was married to the late Charles Klein on March 1, 1957 and started their family in Lethbridge Alberta. Edna was the loving mother to Herb (Rhonda) Klein, Robert (Susan) Klein, Gary Klein and Scott Klein. She was the devoted grandmother to: Pasty (Klein Nicholson), Cathy (Klein Dupuis), Dan Klein and Austin Klein and great grandmother to Carissa Nicholson. Edna is also survived by her sister Alice Myers.
Edna was predeceased by her parents Jim and Hilda Mulholland, siblings Bernice (Gordon), Audrey (Earl), Robert (Marg), Dorothy (Joe), Glenna (George), her brother-in-law Bill Myers and husband Charles Klein.
Mom will be remembered by her entire family as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, an avid card player, lover of sports and camping. Family gatherings played an important part of her life. Mom was a collector of many things; thimbles, dolls and silver spoons from places she visited. Her dry sense of humor will be remembered forever.
Edna will be forever missed and forever loved by her family and the many people she touched throughout her life.

A Celebration of Edna's Life will be held at MCKILLOP UNITED CHURCH, 2329 - 15 Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB, on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 1:30 P.M. with Reverend Trevor Potter officiating.

Edna was laid to rest in a Private Family Graveside prior to the Celebration of Life.
