Kimber, Roberta

ROBERTA ELLEN WILSON KIMBER (née Forbes), passed away peacefully at home, on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at the age of 98.

Roberta leaves behind her loving husband Alan; her sons: Russell and Murray; and granddaughters: Kristin, Kelsi and Isabella, who hold her dearly in their hearts.

Her long life was filled with a career as a dental assistant, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a cancer survivor and avid volunteer. Born in Lethbridge, 'Bert' grew up in a large, close family with seven sisters and a brother, most of whom settled in Lethbridge to raise their families.

As a young woman, Roberta adored spending time in Waterton at her family's cottage. She stayed active and loved swimming, skating, dancing, and bowling. Through bowling, she met a young Alan Kimber. Alan had to pass muster with Roberta's discerning father, Harry, which he did magnificently. Roberta and Alan were married in 1960 and spent the next 63 years together.

At Roberta's request, no funeral will be held. Cremation entrusted to Cornerstone Funeral Home.
