Larsen, Kenneth

July 31, 2024

Date of Service: August 9, 2024

Ken was the oldest of seven children born to Einar & Johanne Larsen, on June 14, 1938. He grew up on the family farm, north and west of Redvers, SK (NE of Wauchope, SK).

At a very young age, (compared to today’s standards), Ken and brother Paul left to go to work away from the farm. Ken was a carpenter, by trade. Other than a brief stint working in Ontario, Ken worked his entire career in Saskatchewan and Alberta. His work took him all over Alberta. For many years he worked on building grain elevators in the two provinces.

In retirement, Ken was a full time RV‘er for years. He snow-birded in the USA, Mexico, and Osoyoos, BC. Upon tiring of the nomadic lifestyle, he lived in Outlook and Lethbridge. His last years were spent in Lethbridge.

Ken was predeceased by his parents, Einar & Johanne Larsen, his brothers Paul and Ralph and his sister Betty Peter.

Ken is survived by his sister Myrna Kydd (Hughie) of Saskatoon, and two brothers Leo Larsen (LaVerne) and Egon Larsen, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at DANNEVIRKE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 46 Methuen Street, Redvers, SK, on Friday, August 9, 2024 at 2:00 P.M., with Interment to follow in Dannevirke Cemetery.
