Ken was born on October 9th, 1952. He is remembered as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Ken was predeceased by his father Earland, grandmother Winnifred, and his mother Myra.
Ken is survived by his wife Judy, children Jodi (Aaron), Kristi, Brad (Jeremy), Charles and Cody, grandchildren Jason (MJ), Kaylee and Alex, great grand children Liam, Avalea and Lucas. Ken is also survived by sister Betty and his nephews.
He retired from the Lethbridge Fire Department in 2021 and was an integral part of the community.
His legacy is kindness, generosity, a mentor to many and a friend to all.
Cremation to be entrusted to Cornerstone Funeral Home. A Celebration of Ken’s Life will be announced at a later date.

I am unable to be there Ken and Judy and family my thoughts and prayers are with you today . Ken I can remember the day we hired you and what a absolute honour it was working with you. I have been searching for the words to describe my feelings for Ken, and my condolences to his family. Ken was more than a friend to me, he was a mentor, an example and a person I wanted to be like, and emulate. My 34 years in emergency services is due to Ken, and Judy. Ken Hoibak was a wonderful friend to everyone and never missed a chance to reach out and serve someone in need. I loved Ken and Judy- they were a great team and blessed the community wherever they could. They made a major constant contribution to our ambulance service.

Judy & Family, Saddened to hear of Chief Hoibak's passing. During my time with the Fire Commissioner's Office out of Lethbridge Ken was a valued colleague, enthusiastic leader and valued advisor to me as well as good friend. Ken served both Magrath and Lethbridge admirably in his volunteer and paid roles. R.I.P. Chief.
