MRS. KAY JENSEN, beloved wife of the late ‘Byng’ Jensen, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital with her family at her side on Friday, March 28, 2008 at the age of 84 years. Kay leaves to cherish her memory her children Bob (Marj) Jensen of Calgary, Pat Bodnar of Picture Butte, Gloria (Irv) Martens of Lethbridge as well as 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by Ron (Neva) Aitken of Pincher Creek, Helen Charlesworth of Picture Butte, Gail (Sallie) Aitken of Aldergrove and Bev (Len) Herring of Lethbridge. She was predeceased by her parents, one sister Sheila Zonneveld, one grandson Sean Martens and one son-in-law Bill Bodnar. Kay worked for Automatic Electric and was a loyal member of the Picture Butte Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Royal Purple for the past 50 years. The most important thing to Kay was her family and friends. Her other passions included curling, travelling and volunteering. However, what brought Kay great pleasure was her ability to bake, quilt, knit and crochet wonderful handmade gifts which she lovingly shared with all. A Funeral Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Friday, April 4, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Elizabeth Brown officiating. Interment to follow at Mountain View Cemetery. Flowers are graciously declined, those who wish may donate to a charity of one’s choice.
