MRS. KATHLEEN MARIE AUDET (nee Boudreau) beloved wife of Mr. Clarence Audet of Milk River, passed away peacefully surrounded by love at the Milk River Hospital on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at the age of 83 years. Kay met her husband Clarence on Valentine’s Day in 1941 at the Last Sands Ranch and they were married for 66 wonderful years. Kay was born in Mutrie, Saskatchewan on June 27, 1924 but called Southern Alberta home. She worked side by side with Clarence farming, ranching and raising their children; Lorrie Howe, Roy (Chris) Audet, Diann (Moe) Bissonnette and Annette Audet-Johansen. Love cannot even describe how she felt about her grandchildren; Brie Bissonnette, Daniel, Adrian and Jesse Audet, Dana, Greg, Amber, Ashley, Sara and Beau Johansen. Kay had many pastimes and hobbies, among them; snowmobiling, picnicking, golfing and cheering on the grandchildren at their many sporting events. She also took time to give back to the community through many volunteer positions including those with the church, hospital and Alberta Cancer Foundation. Kay loved sewing, knitting and crocheting and was known for the many afghans, quilts and preemie toques she made over the years. She was never happier than when family and friends would drop over for a meal, a game of cards or just a visit. Kay was a true friend and neighbour to all who met her and will be dearly missed. A Funeral Mass will be held at ST. PETER’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 321 Main Street, Milk River, on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Joseph T. Kalathiparambil officiating. In lieu of flowers and in memory of Kathleen, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
