KATHLEEN “KATIE” LINDSAY (née Ridley), beloved wife of Roy Lindsay, passed away peacefully at St. Michael’s Palliative Care, on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at the age of 73 years.

Katie was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on September 29, 1951. She spent her early years in Manitoba, with parents, Ken and Pat, and her younger siblings, Patty and Debbie, until the family moved to Port Moody BC, when she ventured out on her own to Edmonton, and finally, ending up in Lethbridge.

Her first career was as a medical lab technician, after which she moved on to doing what she loved – teaching. She taught in Canada and abroad for 30 years before retiring during the covid pandemic.

She married Brian Sullivan in March of 1983 in Edmonton, AB. They had three children: David, Megan and Greg. They separated in 2002.

She married Roy Lindsay in August of 2015, in Lethbridge, where they made their home. They travelled extensively in their time together.

One of Katie’s great loves was serving the Lethbridge Live-In Society. Roy joined Katie in her service to the Society.

Katie beat cancer in 1986, only to have it re-occur in 2021. She passed peacefully surrounded and loved by family.

Special thanks to the oncology department at both Tom Baker and Jack Ady facilities, and the Palliative Care staff at St Michael’s Health Centre in Lethbridge.
