KONG

KALUN KONG, of Lethbridge, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Regional Hospital, on Friday, December 19th, 2014 at the age of 84 years.

Ka was born in Canton, China in 1930, he grew up in China and in 1977 met, fell in love with, and married Wai-Cheng Chow. A year later in 1978 they moved to Lethbridge, Alberta. Once settled, Ka and his wife opened their first restaurant with the family "The Ming Tree" Chinese Food Restaurant.

In 1983, he started "The Green Jade" restaurant and ran it until retirement in 1989. Ka sadly lost his wife in the year 2001.
