Bjorg was born November 23, 1934 in Oslo, Norway, to Dagfinn & Ingrid Svenningsen. Her journey began in Norway, where she spent her formative years. In 1955, at the age of 22, she embarked on a life-changing trip to North America with a friend. They arrived in New York City and visited Boston, St. Louis, and Canada before working in Wisconsin for a year. While Bjorg always planned to return to Norway, fate intervened when she met her future husband, Nick, in Yellowstone National Park, where he worked at the lodge. Bjorg lived in Red Lodge, Montana, followed by Palm Springs, Glendive and Sunburst and then to Milk River, Alberta where she settled with her family in 1965. She dedicated many years to working at the Milk River Hospital and treasured the lasting friendships she forged there.
Bjorg was an avid baseball fan, and very rarely missed watching the Atlanta Braves play. She also loved to watch curling and was a voracious reader. Bjorg loved games of all kinds, especially playing cards with her family and friends. She was proud to achieve the status of Life Master in the Duplicate Bridge world.
A Come and Go Reception will be held at Bjorg's residence, 204 - 3rd Avenue NE, Milk River, AB, on Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M.
