JUNE NADON, beloved friend of John Dowding of Lethbridge, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Sunday, November 4, 2007 at the age of 76 years. She is survived by her daughter Jill (Garry) Tomlinson of Rimbey, Alberta, grandsons Garrett (Cynthia) and Darren (Amy), granddaughter Stacy (John), great granddaughter Kayleigh and great grandson Zachary. She was predeceased by her husbands Lorne Nadon and Garry Coyle and daughter Barbara Gail Nadon. June was born in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba on June 27, 1931 and was raised on the family farm. In 1951 she married Lorne Nadon and traveled the world with the Air Force. When Lorne left the military in 1976 they settled in Lethbridge where June worked as an accountant until she retired at 55. She served on the Board of Appeal for Employment Insurance for many years. She was a great supporter of the Legion, Labour Club and the Miners. Her two passions were her dog Chico and horse racing where she sat in the same seat at the grandstand every weekend for 15 years. Her sense of humour will be greatly missed by all that knew her. A Visitation will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at 6:30 P.M. Cremation to follow. Relatives, friends and acquaintances are invited to gather to tell stories and celebrate June’s life at the ROCKY MOUNTAIN TURF CLUB, 3710 South Parkside Drive South, Lethbridge on Friday, November 9, 2007 from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. In memory of June, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
