Juhar, Paul

PAUL JUHAR, beloved husband of the late Pauline Juhar, formerly of Sundial and Turin, passed away at the Edith Cavell Nursing Home on Saturday, December 20th, 2014 at the age of 86 years.
He is lovingly remembered by his children, John (Sheila) Juhar, Anita (Rick) Nieuwendyk, Terry (Bernie) Sjostrom and his three grandsons Jeff (Stephanie), Jason and Darcy Juhar.
He is also survived by his sisters in law, Rose (Tony) Hormoth, Daniella (Ken) Beet, Mary (Darrell) Wall and Millie Fen as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Canada and Slovakia.
Paul was predeceased by his loving wife Pauline, his parents John and Mary Juhar and his siblings Maria, Frantisek, Jan and Imrick.
Paul was born July 30, 1928 in Podproc, Slovakia, the youngest of five children. He immigrated to Canada in 1951, working at various jobs from coal mining to hospital maintenance before settling on farming as his lifetime occupation.
Paul married Pauline Kubik on Sept. 21, 1957. They farmed in the Sundial area before moving to the hamlet of Turin. Paul continued actively farming well into his 70's.
A Memorial Service will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2800 Mayor Magrath Drive South, Lethbridge, AB on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with Deacon Cliff Bogdan officiating.
