ALLEN JONES, of Lethbridge, passed away at St. Michael's Health Centre - Palliative Care Unit on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at the age of 76 years.

Allen is survived by his three siblings: Betty Bullock Stott, David Malcolm Jones (Carol), and Barb Jones (Joe Heric); two nieces, four nephews, numerous great-nieces and nephews and cousins.

Allen was predeceased by his mother Liz (Jones) McMullen of Lethbridge in 1996, maternal grandpa in 1988 and his wife Ethel Jones Fallon in 2005. When he married Ethel in 1978, she had four daughters and the surviving daughters are Marti, Della, Alexa and Rinda as well as their families (all in U.S.A.)

During his lifetime, Allen earned many numerous long time friends and rodeo associates.

Allen worked at Timberline Dude Ranch (Jim Simpson), Buckhorn Dude Ranch, McIntyre Ranch and McGowan Rodeo (Stock Contractor). Thanks to the Wills family of Taber in his younger years.

Allen eventually moved to Montana and met Ethel Olgilvie and they were later married, living in Stevensville, MT, Tucson and Marana, AZ, and then to Fallon, NV. Allen was very much into the sport of rodeo, rodeo bulls, bareback horses, steer wrestling (bull dogging) and bought mules, donkeys, horses and cattle.

Allen loved to B.S. with everybody and made a lot of lasting friendships. He was a wheeler dealer and had a very unique and colourful life. Allen returned to Canada in July 2008.

Cremation is entrusted to Cornerstone Funeral Home and a Private Family Graveside will be held in the family plot in Mountain View Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.

I will miss Allen Jones...There was never a dull moment when Allen was around. A character like no other and a great friend to have on your side. His dry wit and endearing curmudgeon attitude always brought a barrel of laughs.

Thinking of all of you at this time. I had spoke to Betty last week. Allen was his own person. He certainly loved to visit & tell stories. We, the Wills family have a few stories about Allen.

Louise (Wills) Krchnak, April 1, 2019

Rest easy Allen - knowing the Big Rodeo with all your mates is about start... and you are the Arena Director. Thank you for being you, as you brought love and laughter to many - enjoy the eternal rest.

Shelby J MacLeod, March 29, 2019

We worked together at Timberline, and I rode bareback horses when he owned McGowan stock contractors. We are the same age and had many good times.
